Spirit beasts and animal spirits fall into different categories in belief systems of Hárronfall. Most races believe in varying levels of animism. An animal spirit is the spiritual counterpart of a sacred animal. These animal spirits have mystical powers that the different races call upon in rituals. Some races shape totems of these sacred animals to draw their powers. Others hunt down the animal on the physical plane and costume their flesh in sacred ritual in hopes to draw out their spiritual powers. Spirit beasts exist solely on the spiritual planes and have no physical counterpart. These spirit beasts are incredibly powerful. Some guard the homes of the Divine, others create certain phenomena on the physical plane.
