Bitoso
Bitoso are thin, white annelids that live inside the fomoire and passed from mother to offspring. Bitoso are completely reliant on fomoire for survival so these annelids aren’t ever found living outside a fomoir host. When dormant, they wrap their bodies throughout the intestinal lining and aid in the entire digestive process through their host’s body.
They respond to the hormones that their host releases so they never feed on more that is necessary. There is another set of hormones that the bitoso react to that call the annelids to action. When called upon they can grow and extend to extreme sizes and travel out of the surface of the famoir’s skin. The bitoso’s bodies can harden to thick shields once they surface to protect their host from attacks.
Each fomoir colony and family line have minor differences to the bitoso inside them. Some strains are stronger or weaker than others. Some are quicker in reacting to their host’s commands. Others might be slower but create more imperative shields. Some are more adapted to survival and can last longer without feeding.
Bitoso From Romani Lore
Bitoso is the sixth out of nine children born from Queen Ana’s and the King of the Locolics’ unhealthy marriage. Because their marriage wasn’t filled with love, each of their children was born ugly and demonic in nature. The nine children are responsible for many human ailments and troubles. Bitoso is a small, white worm with many heads. He moves quickly through the body, causing stomach pains. His sons cause more damage, such as toothaches, earaches, leg spasms, and tinnitus.
