Hobgoblin
The iron legion of the Hobgoblins would be the largest internal threat to the Magisterium if they truly cared to be so. Hobgoblins are strong, orderly, and smart enough to become powerful wizards themselves. Hobgoblins hold themselves to high standards of military honor. The race has a long history of shared traditions, recorded and retold to keep the knowledge fresh for new generations. When hobgoblins aren’t waging war, they farm, they build, and they practice both martial and arcane arts.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Like the Orcs and Goblins that they work with, Hobgoblins can see in the dark quite well. While an individual hobgoblin is challenging, the true terror is when you confront a group of them. Hobgoblins are fiercely prideful and fearful of losing status among each other. Should one fail to hit you the first time, the second hit is likely to be as many times stronger as the number of other Hobgoblins.

The Orcish Alliance
History
When the Magisterium was first created, skirmishes caused the Hobgoblins to try new tactics. The hobgoblins decided to unite the Goblins and Orcs in an alliance to strengthen their borders with the humans. The Hobgoblins are truly the wall and brains of the alliance, and would easily threaten House Odinson, if not having to put up with the constant in fighting with the Orcs while managing the cowardice of the goblins.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Hobgoblins are arguably the most influential species in the Orcish Alliance (a collection of war parties of Orcs, Hobgoblins, and goblins). Though the constant butting of heads with the orcs prevent them from challenging the Human wizards of the Magisterium. For that reason, many humans exploit the contentious nature of the orcs and goblins to throw the Hobgoblins off. Though House Odinson share a mutual respect and appreciation of strategy with the Hobgoblin race.
