I pledge to write 10,000 words of worldbuilding during December

Ah, WorldEmber! That glorious, frenetic time of world-building and creativity! This year, I am working hard to prepare as best as I can to ensure that I will actually achieve that goal of 10,000 words!

2021 WorldEmber Goals

This year, my primary goal for WorldEmber is to fill a few more "spots" on the world tree. My partner and I have been excitedly creating the details of a new world on a whole new branch! I've already made a decent list of topics to flesh out, which can bring me halfway towards that goal or more.

This ancient, incomplete map is an artistic representation of how the cosmological "World Tree" is organized. Though this is by no means accurate to reality, the reality is far beyond the comprehension of most beings, so this depiction will serve our purposes. There are many branching paths along this tree, and even I have not walked them all. Some branches are shattered, others dying, and some that have "fallen" entirely. These dark ways are populated by demons and other dark, unnatural entities who use paths unknown to reach the varying realms of mortals.

My secondary goal is to fill out more details in Shira'tol, which is the setting of one of my current campaigns. I have a lot of places, characters, and plots that need to be filled out. That should get me the rest of the way to my goal!

I plan to finish the meta of this world, Hallowed Legacy, and the metas of my sci-fi world, The Lost Stars, and the post-apocalyptic setting of Inevitable.

I have a major city in the new realm of Hallowed Legacy, which will have several layers that need details.
