Closing In is the antepenultimate mission of Storymode. After witnessing both the death of The Truth, and an attempt upon his own life at the order of The Custodian, Carl Johnson heads to Prospero Headquarters to confront him once and for all.

Summary

After the assassination of The Truth, the attempt on his own life, and asking Eve Matthews to investigate the woods for the source of the myths, Carl Johnson journeys to Prospero Headquarters to finally confront The Custodian once and for all. Upon arriving at Prospero H.Q., CJ finds himself to be persona non grata, and attacked by the present agents, including those in the watchtower. He has no choice but to kill them, and after he does, he enters the interior of the headquarters. He soon finds he is not alone as Sarah Williams has defied his request and has stayed behind at the H.Q., whilst also rallying numerous agents to their cause. A civil war thus breaks out between agents loyal to CJ, and agents loyal to The Custodian, resulting in numerous casualties as they make their way up to the offices floor. By the time CJ and Sarah reach the offices floor, they are the last two standing. As they attempt to reach The Custodian, Alex Carter and Cody Davis move in to kill them, however The Custodian orders them to stand down so that they could talk. The talks were less than amenable, and the fighting could have erupted at any moment during the proceedings. The talks eventually ended when another batch of agents loyal to The Custodian arrived, ambushing CJ and Sarah from behind. They were able to hold out and survive thanks to their skills, however the distraction granted The Custodian a window to escape. When CJ and Sarah defeated the remaining agents, they journeyed to the roof to continue to try and stop The Custodian, however they were too late. He took off in a helicopter, along with Carter and Davis, in the direction of Las Venturas. As CJ began putting together a plan for their next steps of action, he received a call from Eve, who told him that she'd found the source of the myths. CJ was split between what to do next, to stop the myths once and for all, or to confront The Custodian over his misdeeds. In the end, CJ chose to the split the tasks. He asked Sarah to tail The Custodian and investigate the satellite facility they learned of in Las Venturas thanks to Henry Buffett, whilst he went and helped Eve put a stop to the myths.
