The Great Old One Faldrighel
There is a place none alive have ever visited. A place behind the veil of stars, beyond the very universe itself. A realm of ultimate darkness and eternal cold. Where mortal life has no purchase.
Here, only the most inhuman can survive the oppressively inhospitable lack of everything. This is the Outer Dark. This is the domain of the Elder Gods... The Outer Beings.
The Elder Gods are unknown to Gothenkind. They may be unknown to The Gods of Gothenya themselves. Or perhaps they are the gods of gods. Whatever the case, none alive know their names or their portfolios. To merely speak the name of an Elder God is to invite madness upon a mortal mind. The depths of depravity are beyond what any sane person could possibly handle.
Thus it is inherently bizarre that we know of one of the Elders. One from the Great Beyond. That it has been attributed a name. Something that may be spoken without fear of madness.
That name is Faldrighel.
What does it want? Who does it count amongst its followers?
The answer to these questions is mere conjecture. We only surmise that it is worshipped by at least one god of Celene... Krytuss, Lord of Corruption.
We know this only because the The Lentokki tell us it is so. But when have we ever thought it safe to trust the blood mages of The Sanguine Order?
As the The Lentokki God Kings seek to return Krytuss to the material plane, so the Lord of Corruption seeks the same for the lost god of the Outer Dark. The question remains, could our world possibly withstand the incursion of such a being? Could it survive the nothingness that surrounds its very existence? What would life look like in a world dominated by Faldrighel or any of its nameless brethren?
Perhaps there would be nothing left to see. Thankfully, mercifully, it seems Faldrighel has been lost to the mortal realm, its name hardly spoken, and only then upon the whispered lips of the insane. Let us hope, let us pray that it remains this way.
