History
When Raathnar killed general Omar Jurai during a duel, he thought he had defeated the Republic's best tactican. When the young and seemingly inexperienced Bishop took command of the Republican Army Raathnar initally paid no mind. After all, what could this dumb human do? After witnessing Bishop's scorched earth tactics and the defense of Whitesburg his perspective changed. When Bishop arrived on Iyass, he knew of Raathnar and how he led the Imperial army. Bishop's stategy was to bleed Raathnar dry in a war of attrition before retaking lost territory. When Raathnar resorted to increasingly brutal meathods to keep the war going, Bishop lost what little respect he had for his foe.
Relationship Reasoning
To Raathnar, Bishop is the perfect rival. A truly equal foe who is to be respected. To Bishop, Raathnar is a psycopathic bigot who will stop at nothing to end as many lives as possible.

Today, the two brothers are playing an improtant role in the defense of Iyass.

History
Neither Jace nor Bishop have met each other in person. However, Bishop has organized several operations against the Thornsongs. THe most notable of these was 3 years ago in which the Thornsongs assaulted a Republican convoy headed from Kentar to Whitesburg. Republican arial recon managed to track the Thornsongs to an old farmhouse, which was then promptly attacked by a Republican army unit. The ensuing fight caused the deaths of several Thornsongs along with the loss of thousands of GP worth of illicit goods. Since then, both Jace and Bishop have come to dislike each other.
Relationship Reasoning
To Jace, Bishop is a goody-two-shoes who seems destined hinder his ability to expand. As such, Jace wants to deal with Bishop at some point down the line. To Bishop, Jace is just another gang lord who wants to take advantage of others at the cost of those around him. However, Jace is not a priority given the existential threat the current war poses.
History
From the moment Bishop took command of the Republican army, he knew that for the Crusade to truly end, Gatha had to die. Ever since, he has been looking into ways to find and kill her. Gatha, by comparison, merely sees Bishop as yet another insignifigant pest who stands in her way to toal global domination.
