History
When Raathnar killed general Omar Jurai during a duel, he thought he had defeated the Republic's best tactican. When the young and seemingly inexperienced Bishop took command of the Republican Army Raathnar initally paid no mind. After all, what could this dumb human do? After witnessing Bishop's scorched earth tactics and the defense of Whitesburg his perspective changed. When Bishop arrived on Iyass, he knew of Raathnar and how he led the Imperial army. Bishop's stategy was to bleed Raathnar dry in a war of attrition before retaking lost territory. When Raathnar resorted to increasingly brutal meathods to keep the war going, Bishop lost what little respect he had for his foe.
Relationship Reasoning
To Raathnar, Bishop is the perfect rival. A truly equal foe who is to be respected. To Bishop, Raathnar is a psycopathic bigot who will stop at nothing to end as many lives as possible.
History
As preperations for the Fourth Crusade were underway, Gatha selected Raathnar due to his charismatic nature and creative stratagies. The two have a grat deal of respect for the other, with Gatha having absoloute trust that Raathnat can run the Imperial military effectivley and Raathnar trusting that she will let him do his work without interfering.
History
When Raathnar was given an order by Gatha to hunt down her child, he was suprised, but complied without asking questions. However, he has never really seen the Hatchling as a priority and thus hasn't dedicated many resources to finding him exept for when Gatha pesters him about it. He is more or less indifferent about the Hatchling's existance. He is just another objective to complete. For the Hatchling, Raathnar is an ever looming threat who always seems to be on his tail.
