The title of Hold Thane is granted to the rulers of Oriclan’s provinces, warriors and statesmen alike who swear fealty to the Jarl Chief and govern their lands with an iron will. These leaders are chosen from the most battle-hardened clans, their right to rule earned through bloodshed, survival, and unwavering loyalty. Each Hold Thane commands their province as a sovereign warlord, enforcing the laws of Oriclan while defending their people against the relentless cold and the ever-present threat of invasion. Their word is law within their domain, but ultimate authority belongs to the Jarl Chief, who unites them beneath a single banner of dwarven dominance.
