Glas'Tallag
Glas'Talag, the Green Plane in the Black Ocean, is a realm of untold beauty and wonder. It is said that the plane was created by the ancient goddess Kishar, who planted the first tree in the heart of the realm and nurtured it until it grew into the magnificent Tree of Life, whose branches stretch to the very edge of the plane. The faefolk who call Glas'Talag their home are creatures of magic and wonder, and their realm reflects this in every way.
One of the most fascinating aspects of Glas'Talag is the way that time functions within its borders. Rather than moving in a linear fashion, time is based on location, with each region of the realm having its own specific time. To travel from one time zone to another, one must physically move to the corresponding location. This means that, in Glas'Talag, it is possible to experience multiple times of day at once, with some areas bathed in eternal sunlight while others remain shrouded in darkness.
Perhaps the most well-known area of Glas'Talag is the Everdusk forest, a sprawling expanse of trees and wildlife that never seems to change, regardless of the time of day. Here, the fae creatures live in harmony with nature, and the forest is a place of endless wonder and mystery. Another popular destination is Glintmaw, a place of eternal morning dew, where the landscape is dotted with glittering crystals and shimmering waterfalls.
Despite the beauty and magic of Glas'Talag, it is a place of great danger as well. The fae creatures who live here are fiercely protective of their home, and those who dare to enter without permission do so at their own peril. And yet, for those brave enough to venture into the realm and explore its mysteries, there is no telling what wonders they might discover.
The Green Planet in the Sky, home plane of Kishar.
the everdusk forest and the crawling cliffs were two
Halihas was 9pm, forest hut was afternoon and the vuul camp was not daytime, right?
vuul camp was like 3am
like dead of night, perfect for horror
what time was the lake?
The lake was dusk
The entirety of that forest was dusk
oh that was in everdusk, cool
Glas Talag would represent nature
but do you think it would be locked to summer?
I was thinking it’s seasonal cycle was disturbed by the fire
and it is making me think a lot haha
Like in a similar way to the fire, it’s seasons functioned, but it basically kept it locked in to a constant green state
maybe like the frost used to cause the reset like nature
but someone trying to stop that summoned the dragon in ancient times
or something
Yeah that’s what I was thinking
a rough idea of how the plane would work on a global scale
Yeah this is sick
You should apply it in blender to a sphere haha You sent So your story would have taken place across about 6 squares
So this pattern might need to go about 4 or so times to make it global
You would then have longitude rings of night folk and day folk in the plane
But to reach the other day folk tribe, they need to walk through the night terrors
Which is so sick
Nowhere is technically safe
What time was Glintmaw
And was the spire like 10pm
Glintmaw didn’t abide - it was on Galfin time
What would it be
Golden hour ?
I’m plotting out where we would have gone
So just before sunset
Yeah or could be Sun up for simplicity
Like that time when everything has dew on it
We teleported
So it could be North
Dawn to sunrise would be dew time
Way let’s do that
And was the spire midnight or sunset
Midnight
Further down the line from halihas
So here is a rough map of our travels
What’s the blobs
And this is how small it is on the whole plane
Water of some sort
So that lake is in the everdusk
The scale is still big, since that vast forest would only take up 1 or 2 squares
Yeah it’s fuckin massive
But it’s essentially a planet so makes sense
For sure, complicated to plot the unique time system but cool to envision
the weather can cross it the other way so the its like a plaid almost
Or even the seasons
If they are back
That’s what I meant sorry
How far was glintmaw to halihas
For someone who knows their way
Half a day on foot
Would we say it takes a day to walk a day
Originally Brom started it as a homestead, was just him, named after his son who he lost in the war
And people came over time as it was a nexus point
Hmmm
So what would that mean for travelling the entire plane
It may be much larger haha
But a day is a good scale point
You could technically walk in a circle and never leave your time
Nothing south would move you in time
But East West would stay the same
North and south*
That would be so wack as a random
Like dropping in without context
Let’s say that happened to Brom, his son got captured, didn’t realize he was already in Glas Talag and tried to ambush them and got stuck in the night
