The Founding of Erod Mercadia: Erod Mercadia is established as a prosperous nation, known for its fertile plains, strong trade networks, and harmonious coexistence with nature.
Amauri Skytracer, the aggressive and devout leader, established the realm of Erod Mercadia. The name "Erod" meaning "Protected Home" in Old Dwarven was chosen to honor the strong alliance forged with the Dwarves, bringing prosperity to both nations. Amauri, a devout follower of the newly founded Church of Dhara, embarked on a mission to convert the nation and neighboring lands to the faith. The Church of Dhara revered the God of Liberation, who played a pivotal role in the victory against the Onyx Elves and the restoration of freedom to the continent. The people claimed under the banner of Erod Mercadia were settlements that had allied with the growing city of Skygarde. Many of the people that accepted their new nation were trusting of the prosperity that Beowulf Skytracer was able to bring them.

Known as the Dharan-Voidal Wars, these campaigns spread the fervor of faith and solidified Mercadia's reputation as a nation fighting in the name of Dhara. Not only did they threaten their perceived strength, they were also setting villages ablaze as they made their way into the Gaulan Plains. The conflict dragged on for years, as the interlopers employed guerrilla tactics and utilized the inhospitable swamplands to their advantage. Anytime the rural militia, called upon during the Dharan-Voidal war, gained any traction in the Plains, they could not defeat the swamp dwellers in their own land. The Church of Dhara was able to keep the second strongest military that was loyal to the throne. The Church has endeavors in areas outside of the borders of Erod Mercadia, so they were allowed to keep their forces intact as long as they swore loyalty to the Plainsking Fredericus. The treacherous mountain range, known for its hostile terrain and monstrous creatures, had long been a challenge to navigate. However, the Plainsking believed that expanding into the Jags would provide Erod Mercadia with valuable minerals, rare magical artifacts, and strategic advantages. Led by the courageous explorer and mage, Lady Elysande Aronthal of the Seekers in Westmoor, the expedition overcame numerous perils and discovered hidden wonders within the mountainous realm.
