The Magi Guild was founded decades ago by Boto Silverstaff. As one of the greatest wizards in Galfin, Boto uses his magic abilities to teach the willing how to use his art.In his youth, Silverstaff ventured onto Dynastes, home province of the black sun elves. The purple skinned elves use their shadow magic for trickery and deceiving, much unlike their fiery brethren, who use their powers mostly for destruction. On the island, the master wizard housed with a kind featherblood of ravenheart descent on the southern half of the land mass. This part of Dynastes is known as Nesthaven; home province to all featherbloods. A powerful wizard known as Kronimane was held at high esteem in Ourellia; the grand capitol of the black sun elves. Kronimane is a great necromancer, and usually tested new spells on the native featherbloods. Boto's mission was to find Kronimane and stop him by any means necessary. Unfortunately the two young wizards were equal in power and Boto could not bring Kronimane down. Boto's one greatest failure was not stopping the necromancer in his youth, but his day will surely come, as Kronimane always has tricks up his sleeve.Boto later started the guild to safely train magic users. Elves now come to master the natural gifts they were born with, and powerful wizards such as Albion Korugar; the astute goblin lightbringer and Malstrom Briwood; the powerful student have both brought glory to the guild. Even though Boto has had many grand stories scribed about him, even he has dark secrets woven into is history.
A recent famous quarrel was when two young Silverstaff brothers, both about to be sworn into the Seekers, erupted into a powerful magical fight where Boto Silverstaff and Remus dueled for hours into a draw. Boto wished to spread knowledge and went on to form the Wizard's Guild in Skygarde, an open door to all who wished to learn and get help. Remus, after his show of power, quickly rose to the top of the Seekers. The brothers represented two sides to magic, freedom and chaos vs control and order.
