Smugglers of magic 12: The next chapter

General Summary

The session starts in the middle of the fight again. Where we left off, Irial together with Jade and her zombie were in a fight with an assassin. Meanwhile Matt  was locked in a fight with a large group of thugs, who he was holding down singlehandedly
During this Rhiannon was shooting fireball after fireball killing a large portion of the thugs with each one.
Fièn stood infront of the hideout entrance, where she notices somebody teleport behind her, it was Erlath. Who quickly shoots a spell draining her of life energy causing her to fall unconcious. Erlath moved inside afterwards, clearly having some idea of where the Necra Itlin was hidden.
A quickly healed Fien, Rhiannon and Jade chase after Erlath to try and stop him. As Erlath is in the room of the book, the party together decieves Erlath convincing him they are fine with just giving him the book as they agree enough with his opinion. Using this they instead manage to put anti-magic manacles on him. They still quickly talk with Erlath imploring them to understand that mass death is needed to have the spellcasters come out on top. After that conversation Jade knocked Erlath unconcious and ties him down real quick.
Meanwhile outside, Irial was fighting the assassin, and managed to just actually beat him, the man tried to run at which point Irial shot him down from range, killing him, despite Fien's wishes
During this Tancred, the leader of the Stolen calls in Ealfwyn who was hiding close by. Ealfwyn sees that Erlath hasn't succeeded and implores Tancred to just give up, who doesn't want to give in. However soon after Mattsrur talks to Tancred too, improing him to look at the various impaled and burned bodies and ask him if its worth it. Tancred finally calls for the fighting to stop and realizes his mistake, in wanting to keep to power he had gotten many people killed. He simply talks with Matsrur for a bit, how when he started his underworld empire he actually did good, but how the Smugglers of Magic defecting made him angry and unreasonable. The Stolen members left with Tancred promising to call in for a peace treaty tomorrow, letting the Smugglers keep their territory.
After this the party has a moment of calm. Ealfwyn quickly takes Rhiannon aside before leaving, asking her to leave the city, as in Bersail more trouble will come, and its no place to raise a child. Beyond that however Ealfwyn asks something else, for Rhiannon to secretly take the Necra Itlin with her, to just take it away from the city, to just get it out of here. Rhiannon agrees.
Fien meanwhile goes to the body of Wulfric the assassin, who was the same man that long ago attacked and scarred Fien. She has a moment at his corpse, kicking him in anger. After this inside Fien has a moment of vulnerability, revealing her scars on her face to everybody and talking about her past, indicating she is worried people will leave her again, but people help her out a bit. During this Irial's past also comes up revealing how he and his entire family and community died and how he was ressurrected by Morrigan.
After this Rhiannon also said goodbye to everybody, gathers her family and leaves from the city as they finally decide they are done, it simply being too dangerous to stay in this city.
Soon after Rhiannon left Orlon comes back, furious, seemingly believing the party is plotting to kill Orlon. He claimed Vena came to visit him when he went to protect his kids, saying that Rhiannon came to The party tries to talk for a bit, but the moment they mention that they knew about Orlon's kids Orlon snaps and attacks them. He uses magic items to bolster his strength somewhat but it doesn't really help a lot. During this also another person intervenes in the fight a young changeling girl called Lady. Lady joins in the fight with a fury and that group as a whole quickly takes Orlon down, Subduing him and making him go unconcious.
Lady explains herself as being an old victim of Orlon who now came back for revenge.
Soon after Vena briefly visits, trying to claim he helped by provoking Orlon, he still wants the original deal he made with Rhiannon of calm, while the party says they'l probably do it, they won't do a deal and even give Vena the scrolls he gave back. Its also clear that Vena has some form of relationship with Lady.
The session ends with 138 days of downtime thus the next session only starting on the 32nd of Griffus in Fall.
