Expenses

University loans do not exist. Indeed, university loans would work with a system of salary threshold under which the loan taker would not have to pay it back. Since many people do not reach this threshold, this is not profitable for the bank. There are often two options a potential student has to pay for their tuition.

Wealth

If you are born into wealth you can pay for your tuition using that wealth.

Apprenticeship

For much poorer citizens their only option is to do an apprenticeship, in which part of their time is spent studying while they also work to pay it back. Some universities may also provide lodgings to the apprentices to allow them to wake up in the place where they are studying and working to lower the commute time.
Even wealthy parents that have children that are about to go to university may want to have their children go through the Apprenticeship scheme instead, so as to build character and to not be so reliant on their family.

Entry Requirements

The entry requirement to university is to have at least an A-Level in the subject of study. You can have multiple A-levels in the subject or have a mixture of different subjects at A-Level standard.
Students can piggyback courses. For example, if two subjects are connected, students can start off with an A-Level in one of the subjects. They then obtain a degree in that subject, after which they can use that degree as an entry requirement for the other subject in place of an A-Level.

Laboratory Areas

Some courses require the use of laboratories. Each subject is given a separate laboratory to leave experiments going without the other courses having to worry about them. Lecture halls are available to all courses and are not separated.

Library

The university library is within the premises and is only available to those who are studying for a degree, the staff, and alumni. The library unlike the other libraries within Birdencaster doesn’t have green cards showing the news. However, it may have previous green card news archived for historical record keeping and for future study.
The layout of the library is a reasonable layout such as having the subjects in alphabetical order and having the books of that subject in subcategories. Since the city of Birdencaster doesn’t have a paper mill. Books are hard but not impossible to come by, which makes them very precious. Thus the library is a reference library that doesn’t allow borrowing of the books. It also doesn’t allow for food or drinks other than water. Indeed, a damaged book would force the library to reorder a copy and some time would be spent without any copies available.

Extra Activities

Some extra activities available include going into the canteen when it is not being used for mealtime and playing games or hanging out. Some students may work on some theories that may lead to new, previously lost ways of making a product.
The records of these new methods are kept and royalty is given to the student when they are used. The sum of the money is not sizable, such as 5 New Sovereigns peruse of the new method.

Accommodation

The accommodations for the apprentices is basic, with only a bed and a desk with shared bathroom necessities. They don’t have a kitchen area as those were usually not provided in universities from the Old World, so they have their meals in a canteen environment.

Support Communities

Students who have learning problems but don’t have a problem achieving are given support.
