Sawmill
The mill can be found in Segment 12 outside the city limits of Birdencaster it is situated this way as to be accessible from both the city limits and the forestry side.
Purpose and Function
The purpose of the sawmill is to finalise wood that has been cut from the portable sawmill of the forestry industry.Design
The Sawmill is made up of three different rooms on the bottom floor with one room on the top floor.Bottom floor
Two of the three rooms are the same size. In which when a room is being loaded with green wood the other is being unloaded with now seasoned wood and is sawn and works like a flip flop system. The third is the sawing room with a vertical saw blade. Painted walkways of two lines on either side are there as a way to show safe walkways and for wood to be carried safely. The walkway also shows a safe walkway to get to the industrial staircase to get to the floor above.Top floor
The only room on this floor is a common room area and stands as a way to look at the bottom floor operations.Entries
The sawmill has two entries, one for an entrance for wood to be seasoned and the other for sawn wood to leave the sawmill, either treated with Copper Azole or to Warehouses to be sold.Denizens

How Close Is It To Where They're Doing The Logging?
The forestry industry ranges from segment 12 to 4. Those who are taking boards and posts can take those into Zone 5 to deliver the wooden stock to the sawmill to finalise the length of the wood stock. The lodge, which also has stables, is situated in a good middle ground in Segment 2.How Are They Transported From The Logging Site?
The boards and posts are carried from the felling site and are carried in. Normally they are carried by one individual on some occasions it carried by teams of two and on some incidents, it is pulled by shire horse when there is more wood to transport than there are carriers to carry it.What Are The Saws Made Out Of?
The saw blades are made out of high speed steel, the chemical composition of the metal [1][2] that makes up the saw blade is as follows:- Carbon
- Chromium
- Tungsten
- Molybdenum
- Vanadium
- Cobalt
How Mechanised Are They?
The sawmills are somewhat primitive in nature with just moving a board or the piece of wood to be cut while a vertical saw blade moves in a sawing moves to cut the board. Below is an image of a board of wood being sawn so that there is no bark remaining. These saws resemble large table saws but with a large vertical saw blade inside of a circular saw blade as these can't be manufactured due to the technology of lasers has been lost, because of The Great Rewind. Why Are They Cutting The Boards In The First Place?
In the forestry industry, the logs are cut into boards and posts using a portable sawmill. This sawmill leaves the bark at either side of the board which is not desirable. It is the job of the sawmill to cut the boards so that they do not have the bark attached.
