The Cal
The great fortress cities of the Atheran, the Cal are the seats of local power. These vast cities are fully encircled by great stonework walls. Imposing and unlike anyother the world over. Although there is much variation in the individual style of the buildings within the walls, the outer defenses are rather similar in deisgn. The walls stand high atop the landscape, either following natural hills, or an artificial one. From this elevated position the walls extend another fifty feet into the air, and are capped with towers reaching high above that. At its heart, or peak sits each Cal's castle. These castles are the seat of governement and the last citadel of the Cal.
