Knights Vigil
Vigiliant Against the Corruption of the Night
With its roots dating back to the days leading up to the Shattering the Kngihts Vigil may be the oldest Knightly Order in all the nations of the world. Founded by the Immortal as a council of his most trusted Knights, the first of the Vigil helped him in organizing his rebelion against the Emperor Sa'Vahn. These were the Knights which stood by him in the siege of the Imperial Capital, and those who followed him as the city was ripped to the Astral Sea. It was with their lent strength which the Immortal bound Sa'Vahn in the Keep of Chains. Although most of the Knights stayed behind to guard the prison of The Fallen, some returned with the Immortal to guide the world in the aftermath of the Shattering. In these days after the Shattering, they hunted the memebers of the Cult of The Fallen, eradicating all of the memebers over the course of a Century.
Over the Millenia since the Shattering the Knights Vigil have diminished, their purpose largely forgotten and only a handful of memebers who watch for the signs of returning corruption. Their most noted memeber being The Marshal of Athera, who is the current Master of the Order.
Campaign Setting Information
Classes
The Knights Vigil are a Knightly Order bound to oaths of protection. As such the Knights Vigil are made up primarily of Fighters and Paladins. The Fighters are typically Battle Masters, Cavaliers, or Champions. While the Paladins take many oaths, primarily the Oaths of Devotion, Vengence, the Watcher, and Will. There are no memeber of any other classes in the Order at the start of the Campaign, but players of any class may join under certain circumstances.
