Aftermath

Mournival: Rebellion Unity

The stage lights flash on to depict a painting of an empty town hall in Salcaer. The infamous Directors sneer at it as they look unsure. A crowd of people stand outside waving various flags and banners.

The Sage looks over to his colleague, “I love the spirit of rebellion! I love when fresher minds come together to create something new. All they have to do is keep the ground that has been taken.”

The Critic chuckles, “Naivety, my old rival. There is no unified flag keeping them together. The only unity they have is a disdain for Artisan rulers. When that is gone, what do you think happens?”

The Directors look at the other with worried glances then back at the stage. The rebellious crowd then step on the other as they try climbing their way to put their flag on the pole to be waved high and proud.

The Sage then taps his chin curiously, “It’s hard to pick who to cheer for. The religious Cultivarum, the new leadership, or the old Octmor ruler?”

The Critic shakes rolls his eyes, “I personally hate them all. Too optimistic for my liking.”

The directors then looks over curiously as a new spotlight flashes to Fortitude Hall back in the capital city of Calvegarde. The Sage tilts his head, “Curious. Could it even be possible that the Marecorans would accept this? These are people who align more with a free spirit!”

The Critic’s eyes are eager seeing the sight, “I already see my perfect candidate. A realistic leader, one who is too focused on campaigns to care about coastal leisurely lifestyle, if not even securing it in the process. They need only shed their Artisan influence.”

The Sage looks over curiously, “Either way, I expect it to get messy. Infernal followers always act like petulant children when they don’t get their way.”

The lights then go out, then goes back on to depict the Directors on the stage. The Critic speaks up, “That is all for today’s showing. Come again another time.”

Checking up on the Patient

Mordekai of the AID Institute was called to help haul away the wretch to a safer facility that can help. Mordekai explained that this wretch was another victim of the Nameless Host. Mortals who unluckily serve it are doomed with a curse for being dragged back to the Null should they disobey. Only through death in its service will a soul finally be free.

Meeting the Arduin

The party met back up with the Arduin, the legacy of the old personal guards to the Nastirn Emperor. They escorted the party to one of the old ruins and both sought examine the mask.

The party sought what material uses they could get out of the mask while the Arduin sought out the history and connections. They revealed that the Artisans served the sinister Infernal master, Vildramus. It explains the constant references to six, namely symbolism to his horns. They also saw dark rituals that occasionally take place, which Cassius could only assume was in reference to the Cairn Sanctum.

Now, it's all a matter of how they will overcome this threat now that the Artisans have been riled up.
