Morning before the City

For Henrietta

You dream of that decrepit rundown town of East Harrow. Along the streets, you never did pay much attention but what little you did, something is off. The statues and iconography around the place creates an itch for what they are truly are. You never did know what it was portraying, but now that you have been adventuring, you could have sworn you have met the muse.

In the morning, the party finds Setesk groaning with a massive headache from the many readings he had done the night prior. Yohgrï managed to alleviate the symptoms. Arnsley and Ezmerelda had wondered what the other would do when they left the Mists. Ezmerelda would continue hunting monsters while he would continue with the Revered Inquisition.

During breakfast, Arnsley and Ezmerelda are seen standing alongside each other as they eat out of their bowls. The Inquisitor looks over to her, “Supposing that this Triste is earnest about these beacons, and we find our way out of the mists, what would you do afterwards?”

She thinks a moment, “I did not think that far, honestly. I would at least want to make sure that my mentor, Van Richten, and Spud are taken of. If they’re fine, then I’ll just have to keep doing what I was doing. I’ll just have to keep destroying evils that plague our world. What about you?”

The Inquisitor sneers, “An immediate return to the Inquisition. They will want to know my troubles. From there, I will continue my duties until the caels deem me ready to retire. Service to the protection of the faithful gives me purpose.”

City of Salvecar

Once within Salvecar finally, you find a great deal of flower petals scattered around the street, most of which are stomped on. As for activity, the only people out and about is a medical wagon as civil guards are quick to rush out a fair bit of wounded.

Arnsley’s eyes light up seeing one wounded elven woman be carried away, “That aetheriin ! She’s a researcher who helped me get on my way to helping the faithful! It is imperative to ensure her safety!”

The party split up. Yohgrï and Clovis went to see Lorelae, Arnsley’s researcher friend. Abbott, Mysrie, and Henrietta went to the shopping district to see what was available. Also in the city was the Mournival but no showing was available at the time.

Lorelae’s Prime Opportunity

She mentioned that she is a researcher who recently got wounded on her travel back to the city. With recent events between the Revered and the Cult, a prime opportunity is made available to explore the ruins the Shattered like to take residence in. This does include Karnell’s own.

Shopping

Henrietta and Abbot purchased some plushies from the magic shop and gem dust.

Snooping around the Mournival

Abbott and Henrietta snooped around the closed Mournival. Henrietta found the actors in their own tent in a massive huddle singing to the other, “Hurt is all we know.” Abbott went to the main tent to find the Directors looking over scripts for Arvura. He then peeked over their shoulder, seeing that there would be a “pointless war” in motion and nothing would change.

Yohgrï’s Antics

Unseen Developments

Yohgrï attempted to sneak off alone but an invisible Clovis followed him to the central fortress in the city. There, Yohgrï met up with Elnyra who pointed out Clovis’ presence. From there, Yohgrï explained that Morek was on the move up northward and her presence would help even things out.

Clovis piped up as well, mentioning to the cael that dark forces are afoot. Should the war end, the Nameless Host will wipe this domain.

The cael became uncertain and would coordinate with advisors on further action.

Once out of the fortress, Clovis explained to Yohgrï that the party had an instinctual feeling he was working with Karnell, Fernando’s vision only confirmed it. Though, the reading suggested that Yohgrï had a hand in the domain’s downfall, so Clovis insisted he be careful.

Grouped Together

Once the party regrouped, Yohgrï confronted Abbott about lying to him on how Yohgrï wasn’t mentioned in Fernando’s vision. From there, the party talked things out and cooled the other’s nerves that things weren’t inherently severe. Henrietta did mention she did one last reading with Setesk that Arvura’s fate wasn’t sealed entirely. All that matters is if the “pillars” of the domain, the cael and vician perish, only then would the domain no longer be interesting to the Host.

From there, the party insisted to head for the beacon and go to Lumencroft.
