Heavy Metal

Location

Located in the west of West T@Ö#Å3, right along the icy river, you’ll find Heavy Metal - one of the biggest cities in this part of the world. It’s one of the many bigger cities that can be found along the Icy River, as this is one of the most habitable places in this part of the world. Being tucked in between the cold Mountain area on the west and the barren wasteland on the east, this city, same as many others here, is subjected to some strange weather occurrences. Nevertheless, it’s a big thriving city considered to be the capital of West T@Ö#Ä3.

Climate

The climate here is quite peculiar, trapped between some of the hottest and some of the coldest temperatures in our world. Most of the year the hot black sun is present here, providing unbearable heat that isn’t helped by the fact that most of the buildings here are made of metal. The area gets barely any proper sunlight outside of whatever is reflected from other suns from the silver sky that many believe is made of metal as well. At the very least, the sky here isn’t real but it’s only a sheet of aluminum foil. It might just be true and it might be because of this why the weather here is always so strange and eerie. There’s barely any weather here besides the heavy heat and occasional random periods of rain, and everything looks strangely dark apart from the light that is reflected from all the metal buildings. The sky itself looks dark, but yet the streets and buildings seem lit up.

Things change during the cold season though. Just as much as it is unforgivably hot for the rest of the year, it can quickly get unforgivably cold by the end of the year. The black sun that keeps the cold away will give way to the blue sun of the Mountain region during this part of the year. It will get colder with heavier rain that will quickly turn into snow during the midyear month.

Nature

As most of T@Ö#Ä3, this district doesn’t have much to offer in terms of nature. The fact that most of this city is built from metal doesn’t help either. The only things you will find here are some dead trees and dead shrubs and occasional insects. Some people here might keep catbunnies or cuddlebugs as pets and some might keep those for their wool that can be used to make warm clothing needed in the colder months.

Town

Heavy Metal got its name after the metal buildings that you will find here. It’s not the only one with such buildings, but it may be one of the oldest and biggest cities here. Because of this it’s considered to be the capital of West T@Ö#Ä3.

As it’s appropriate for a capital, this is the wealthiest town and quite a lively one, considering the area where it’s located. Here you’ll find tall metal skyscrapers with jagged roofs, but full of all sorts of interesting things. From apartments to business offices to bars, restaurants, shops, art galleries and more. The streets are always busy and there’s alway something interesting going on here. Some say that this city never sleeps and it certainly appears so. In the very center of town you’ll be met with colorful lights in the windows of numerous shops and bars, giant digital billboards advertising various products, places and experiences you can find here. One of them is even a 3d billboard displaying a catbunny, overlooking the city and getting up to all sorts of cute shenanigans throughout the day. This, of course, is placed on the biggest Satan’s temple complex in the city. Heavy Metal is not anymore the only one, but it was the first city to have such a billboard, and as it is appropriate for a capital set in this part of the world, they love to flex the advanced high tech that may not only be found here, but it can be found here first. Well, second after the industrial area that’s the first to invent that kind of stuff, but still, they’re the first among the mole people settlements. No surprise, Heavy Metal host the biggest and the best tech and gaming lanternfest in West T@Ö#Ä3.

Some of the other notable and popular spots here include Museum of ancient technology featuring all sorts of gadgets that people used in pre-apocalyptic times, the 7 story sex shop - something a more traditional Å+*4~ would never do, and of course, the biggest Satan’s temple complex in West T@Ö#Ä3.

This temple complex serves a very similar purpose as the Central Head Fairy Central, except it employs Satan’s priests rather than fairies - Here is where the Head priest of the Area works along with all the other employees needed to run West T@Ö#Ä3 smoothly.

People

Majority of people here are moles, but in comparison to Å+*4~, you’ll notice that fairies are rare here, and even then most are moth fairies. There’s also a lot of freaks here, though less than in East T@Ö#Ä3, but there’s a lot more of artificial people here than in any other generally mole settlement. You may also find some bat people here, but they’re just about as rare as moth fairies.

People here in general are more reserved and serious. They stick with their own families, but are also polite and welcoming to strangers. They like to have fun, but don’t expect to make any new buddies here at random. Do keep in mind that a lot of people here may be artificial and these are less emotional and friendly than moles. Again, they will be polite and welcoming to strangers, but don’t expect to make buddies easily.

People here pride themselves to be more hardworking and more intelligent than people in other regions, especially Å+*4~, but let’s be honest - it’s not like there’s any beaches here to spend your day at or any nice, sunny and colorful parks - you may as well focus more on your work. Even here though, moles are moles. They are creative and fun loving and occupy themselves with all sorts of creative and fun activities. As such it’s no surprise that Heavy Metal is also a capital of the video gaming industry and, as already mentioned, home to the biggest tech and gaming lanternfest.

As this district’s name suggests, it shouldn’t be a surprise that people living here are huge metal fans as well. In fact, you guessed it, the genre of heavy metal got its name exactly from this district. The genre is well liked all across the world, but Heavy Metal is especially well known for its love for, well, heavy metal and having the most metal bands out of any other district in the world.

Resources

Heavy Metal is not only a capital of West T@Ö#Ä3, but also a leading power in many different areas. With this district being located near the Industrial area it’s no surprise that some of its major exports are related to technology. Many companies here have factories and production facilities located in Industrial Area itself, which means all the products sold here are know to be of top quality. One of the best known companies from there is BunTech, a company that sells a wide variety of smart devices all produced in District 708/34-87, famous for its absolutely top tier products. Apart from BunTech, Heavy Metal is home to many other companies producing anything from smart devices to household appliances and all sorts of useful and fun gadgets.

Being a primarily technology oriented district, Heavy Metal is also well known to be the capital of the video gaming industry as well. In a world as big as diverse as ours it would be hard to single out one district or one company as the absolute best, but it’s no secret that all of the best and most popular video game franchises originate from this very district.

Another thing already mentioned is that this district is also well known as the home of Heavy Metal Music. It’s where the music genre was invented and what it is named after so, again, it’s no surprise that some of the best and most popular Heavy Metal bands come from this exact district. The district host some of the biggest metal festivals in the world, even some that combine knitting with cuddlebug wool while listening to metal. It is fair to note though that these festivals tend to be more popular in some of the neighboring districts that are more focused on cuddlebug farming.
