Recently suffered a grievous wound to the neck during a bar fight in the Salt Slums which has left him unable to speak.

Identifying Characteristics
Has a series of blue tattoos on his face, marking him as a member of the Azurianos gang.
Specialized Equipment
Thirrus carries a small, cylindrical leather case with him everywhere, his most prized inheritance from his beloved grandpappy. Typically he wears it on a leather thong around his neck. Inside are a collection of alchemical agents wrapped in a scrap of parchment covered in spidery runes. Mixed in with the powdery ingredients are several star-like crystal shards with sharpened edges. According to grandpappy, if a member of the Heavybringer clan crushes the paper into the dry ingredients, the crystals will cut their skin and mix their blood with the other reagents causing a magical spell to fire. This spell will immediately teleport the Heavybringer in danger to their home. Grandpappy called it a Harborstone. Thirrus has seen Harborstones work for other family members when he was younger and has no reason to think it won't work, but grandpappy took the secret to making them to his grave and as far as Thirrus knows, this is the last one.

Personal history
Thirrus always felt like he was dealt a bad hand in life. His parents were disappeared when he was very young. He moved around a lot, occasionally running afoul of either the Pillarhand or Pillarguard. He served several modest sentences in juvenile centers—which, he'll be quick to point out, despite sounding friendlier than the dungeons for adult law-breakers are often times even worse in terms of accommodations and brutality—and struggled to find honest work.
He fell into an underworld group ( in a small orcish frontier town and was basically set up to take the fall after a job went bad and he went away to prison for many years. When he got out, he drifted, doing odd jobs and trying not to get in trouble. He wound up in Grasmere where he met his partner, Rustil Oakenfury. For a time things settled down as they both found work on the Grasmerean docks and managed to make a small but happy life together. Then Thirrus's luck turned on him again. He was accused by his foreman of stealing, and in an escalating argument, he lost his CitBook and was arrested. He was released after a few weeks, but without identification and due to a smear campaign by his old foreman, couldn't land a new job.
After a series of fights with Rustil over money, Thirrus took a walk and found himself at a hole-in-the-wall aleroom, where he proceeded to try and drown his sorrows. As the night wore on, the bar got a little rowdy and a tavern brawl broke out. Thirrus, drunk and desperate to make amends with Rustil, made the fateful decision to go for the cash box behind the bar. The new bartender, a surly tabaxi, slashed at him and nearly killed him with a wound to the throat. He was stabilized and came to with a crowd of Town Patrollers milling around. Worried he'd be arrested again, Thirrus fled the scene.
Wounded and with no money or identification to use on magical healing, Thirrus made his way back to Rustil. Rustil patched him up as well as he could, but it quickly became apparent that the wound had affected Thirrus's vocal cords. By the time Rustil found a back alley healer to try and fix the problem, the damage was permanent. Thirrus would never talk again. Thirrus poured a lifetime of hard luck and disappointment into his fury. He vowed revenge and began working on a scheme to find the tabaxi and take his payback in blood.
