XX. The Jarl's Tournament: Round 2

General Summary

Before the second round of Jarl Grugnor's tourney started, the same Tiefling merchant they met in the Hill Giant Steading visited Achilla and the Shields once again. They purchased several magic items before their match with Jokul and Hjarnar, the twin White Dragons. During the fight, Kohinoor threw herself in front of Dev to protect him from ice breath, losing consciousness in the effort. Her effort may have been wasted, as Dev was knocked unconscious shortly after by more ice breath. Xuom also noticed them during the fight and summoned Waythe back from Kohi’s hands in the middle of the battle. The party won, but called upon the Jarl to have Xuom return the sword. The Jarl took offense at the party’s insinuation that he had allowed something dishonorable to happen. With their plan rapidly unravelling, the party decided to enact their plan with Yrsa one fight early, but didn’t get her backup right away. Grugnor challenged the veracity of their claims, but luckily Yrsa showed up. Suddenly, as she was talking, the hood she was wearing fell from her head and revealed to all that she had been hiding a second face beneath. Murmurs spread through the crowd:

"Troll-eater!"
-Frost Giants

As the crowd began to uproar, Yrsa turned to the party, begging for help. She explained that she had eaten Troll flesh while she was trapped in the Troll's lair, where Grugnor had left her to die. Things almost went poorly for them, but they managed to turn it around and kill the Jarl and reinstate Yrsa on the throne.
