Akwele Onokankwu
Who Passed Through Fire and Frost (a.k.a. Mombi)
Akwele is a warrior who seeks to live up to the deeds of his ancestors by performing feats worthy of legend. Each time he completes one these feats, a tattoo bearing the progenitor’s name magically appears on his body.
Personal History
Among his tribe, Akwele is an accomplished hunter and renowned athlete. Akwele is slow to trust others that don't show a good sense of ngomi. Akwele believes in fair play, personal accomplishment, reverence and respect for ancestors, and community among clan and family among all else. Akwele is a gifted runner and enjoys running recreationally.Recent Events
Akwele was contacted by Iorvus Great-Dane to help take up arms against the giants threatening the Stalic Empire. Put into an adventuring party with Valoryn Nightshade, Baui of Clan Kazemaru, and a few others, Akwele was partially responsible for challenging the giants who ran across his original party, resulting in the deaths of their comrades. Akwele, Baui and Valoryn alone survived their original party and were imprisoned in the Hill Giant Steading until they were freed by and subsequently joined Achilla and the Shields. Akwele died fighting King Snurre in the temple beneath his fortress . When Akwele met his ancestors, they gave him the name Who Passed Through Fire and Frost for his deeds in the lairs of the Fire Giants and Frost Giants. When he was resurrected through the efforts of Regen Wakerock and Shugluk Elf-Butcher, Akwele came back blessed by his ancestors with the power of a Rune Knight. In the final battle against the Drow in the city of Ivargrad, Akwele summoned the spirits of warriors of Valhalla. After saving the empire, Akwele went on adventuring and attaining the feats of his ancestors, accompanied by his friends Dev and Achilla.Feats Attained
