Kwele Onokankwu
Kwele is the father of Awkele Onokankwu.
Kwele was a goliath azanzi, a clanless wanderer, before marrying his wife Agomba and joining the Onokankwu Clan. His clan was wiped out by a terrible plague when he was just a boy, and he spent the second half of his childhood in the company of many other races as a logger. He has adopted Agomba’s ancestors for his own, a common practice for a goliath “marrying up”. The Onokankwu view him with pity, as he remembers so few of his own ancestor’s names, but by all accounts Kwele seems happy with those of his in-laws.
Kwele is percieved as easy-going to the point of laziness among his new clanmates (simply for not trying to match his wife’s deeds), but in reality he is a tireless and humble worker who made sure his son Akwele was cared for even as Agomba achieved great fame and glory. Kwele and Akwele have a very warm relationship.
