Stahlic Empire
The Stahlic Empire is a political entity with territorial holdings that span a great distance. The Empire has been expanding for the last several decades, some times quite aggressively.
Structure and History
The Stahlic Empire was founded by Ivar Stahl. Stahl's dynasty ruled as Emperors for a long time, supported by a Council of Elector Princes. When the last Emperor died without issue, the Council decided to continue ruling without choosing a new one, and they have continued to do so for centuries. Originally there were seven seats on the council, but it has recently expanded to nine.Territories

Giant Attacks
Twenty years ago, several settlements in the Empire were attacked by Giants of various kinds. With their legions preoccupied and their armadas away, the Empire put out a call for heroes and adventurers to take up arms against the giant threat. This came to a head when the Ashmaker, a weapon created by an alliance of Fire Giants and Drow, and capable of terrible destruction, made its way to Ivargrad. Luckily the explosive was teleported away before it could detonate, but the ramifications of this attack still rock the Empire. More importantly, the technology recovered from the giants by the Hounds of Stahl has been under investigation and it is possible that the Empire may be trying to uncover the means to recreate such destructive weapons for their own use...Battle for Felstadt
The Council of Elector Princes had designs on expanding into Felstadt, a historically free city that controls a port of strategic importance and is encompassed in the Empire's territory. The Princes sent a Governor to oversee matters in Felstadt when it became known that Storm Giants had taken up residence there.
