The Frostwilds
The Frostwilds are a land of endless struggle, where the bitter cold seeps into bone and survival is a test of will as much as strength. Stretching between the Green Wilds to the south and the frozen reaches of the Ironfrost Peaks, Icebound Shores, and the Shivercliffs to the north, this untamed expanse is a patchwork of boreal forest, tundra, and alpine highlands, shaped by brutal winters and short, fleeting summers. Here, the land offers little, and what it does give is fiercely contested by those desperate enough to claim it.
Scattered across the Frostwilds are countless clans and tribes, hardy people—human, orc, and others—who live by axe and spear, hunting the great beasts that roam the forests and raiding one another when food and supplies grow scarce. Some gather in hidden valley strongholds, protected by sheer cliffs and snow-choked passes, while others roam as nomads, moving with the seasons to track herds and evade enemies. Despite their hardships, these clans know the land well, and to outsiders, they are as dangerous as the frozen wilderness itself.
Though the Frostwild clans raid the Green Wilds to the south, they themselves are raided in turn, for they live at the mercy of the powerful forces that lurk beyond their borders. From the Ironfrost Peaks, the Chuti descend in small, disciplined hunting parties, testing the resolve of any who wander too close to their mountain fortresses. From the Shivercliffs, the Frost Giants march in their brutal warbands, claiming steel, furs, and captives with ruthless efficiency. And from the Icebound Shores, the Chuchuna emerge like wraiths from the frozen mists, stalking prey under the pale glow of the northern lights.
There is no peace in the Frostwilds, only the endless cycle of hunting and being hunted, raiding and being raided. Yet, despite the hardship, those who endure forge bonds of unbreakable loyalty, tempered by fire and ice. In the depths of winter, when the wind howls like a dying beast and the land is buried in ice, the true test begins—for only the strong, the clever, and the relentless can hope to see another thaw.
