Description

The Veil of Blinding appears to be a simple white veil, like someone would wear during a wedding. Its made from thin silk fabric with lacy pattern along the trim, hanging down from a flower crown made from gold lace. The veil covers the entire face and neck region. It like nothing out of the ordinary to an untrained eye.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The veil is an enchanted object, and one of a few that has the special property of nullifying illusion magic and sight related powers. When worn, the veil will remove the effects of any vision related magic powers, like Undead Sight.

Significance

The veil was enchanted centuries ago by a mage simply known as 'Ada' at the Faeri Academy of Aurora back when it was still in operation. Ada was a young lady afflicted with a magic curse that caused her to see when demons even when they were disguised by the glow of their eyes. The eyes would stare even through walls and objects, and seeing them made her paranoid.
She started crafting the veil in order to rid herself of the eyes. However when it was almost complete, another mage at the academy had accidentally opened a demon portal, and demons began invading the school and possessing students. Ada refused to evacuate until the veil was finished, but when it was, it was too late. Demons broke down the door she was locked in and killed her before she got the chance to use it.
The veil since then had been left in the ruins of the school, guarded by the ghosts that haunt the academy. Attempts have been made to retrieve it, but it's minimal magical effects were deemed not worth the trouble it would be to go after it.
