Jack

Jack (also called Jack the Monkey) is the fey familiar of Enna Liadon. He was originally summoned in 1492 DR, when Enna first cast the find familiar spell. According to Enna, Jack is named for a jack-in-the-box, as her familiar initially appeared with a loud noise like such a toy. Jack is known to be more intelligent than the average familiar, capable of limited puzzle solving and following more advanced commands. He has also demonstrated knowledge of how to fight, but due to his size cannot have much of an impact on the usual foes Enna faces. He is an expert at climbing any surface, can deliver Enna's touch-ranged spells for her, and Enna can summon him if he is killed.

Like all familiars, Jack is loyal to his master. However, his loyalty can appear questionable to people other than Enna. He has a habit of running off at the worst possible times - appearing to be fleeing danger, but in reality, he has found some way of improving his master's situation. He shows a willingness to follow all of Enna's commands, including those which are (temporarily) fatal for him.

While he cannot communicate, it appears that Jack enjoys pulling pranks on people, especially Emilia Leveva and Nathxena Fey. Aside from Enna, Jack appears to enjoy the company of Valna Mellerelel, as well as her brother's familiar: the wildfire spirit named Dominic.
