Sun Elves

Sun Elves, sometimes called High Elves, are a subspecies of Elf with a strong connection to magic and the sun.
Sun Elves are commonly found in Hepsut making up a large population of the Coven of Maran.
Historically Helios was the Divine Patron of the Sun Elves, but after The Exorsian Civil Wars a large faction of Sun Elves changed sides and joined Rhea, an aspect of the Goddess Hecate.
This Pre Rhean culture of worshipping Helios is now solely maintained by the people of Yaren who preserve the ancient Helion traditions. Outside of Yaren the only sun based imagery used by Sun Elves are the ceremonial armour used in Maran for important events. Gold plate armour over light and dark red fabrics, all adorned with gold circular sun imagery.

Appearance:

Sun Elves can be recognized by their brown coloured skin and golden eyes.
Complexion: Sun Elf skin tones range from an olive colour to a dark brown complexion.
Hair: Sun Elf hair ranges from black, brown or blonde, commonly turning white with age.
Eyes: Sun Elves tend to have brown or gold coloured eyes.
