Half-Elves

Half-Elves, sometimes called Peredhil, are the offspring of Elves and Humans, possessing a mix of characteristics from both species.
Half-Elves are the most common mixed species on Exorsia, they are often found in multicultural communities, especially large cities with big human populations.
First generation Half-Elves tend to struggle to relate to their Elven parents due to the difference in life expectancy. This leads many Half-Elves to reject their elven heritage and instead embrace their human one.

Appearance:

Half-Elves more closely resemble Humans than Elves, with male Half-Elves being able to grow facial hair. Half-Elves can be recognised by their short pointed ears and sharp features.
Complexion: Half-Elf skin tones are similar to Humans, ranging from a light pale complexion to a dark brown one, though sometimes they share a skin colour with their Elven parent.
Hair: Half-Elf hair ranges from the human black, brown and blonde or ginger, to the multicoloured hair of their Elven parent. It commonly turns gray or white with age.
Eyes: Half-Elves tend to have either the brown, blue or green coloured eyes of humans or the multicoloured eyes of their Elven parent.

Maturity:

Half-Elves mature at the same rate as Humans, reaching adulthood around the age of 20.

Reproduction:

Half-Elves reproduce similarly to Humans. The gestation period for a Half-Elf is around 9 months. Children of Half-Elves are almost always Half-Elves themselves.
