A Concert To Die For
Summer 2021, Week 3
Friday evening
The Octavium, The Heights
Xander Knight
Facing the vast array of seats, Xander's jaw dropped as he stood on stage, playfully nudging Keenan, the drummer of Outcry, a dark skinned man with dreadlocks worn in a mohawk, tied back in a ponytail. "Ever seen a venue like this mate?" he asked, a chuckle shared between them. They had a few hours before the show began, some time to survey and set up, running out into the stands and plopping into different seats, making sure they got a taste of the view from every corner. Anything to make the show run smoother. As the two of them, for lack of a better term, goofed around, Naomi sat atop a speaker at the edge of the stage, tuning her purple bass guitar with a smile, shaking her head. Her shoulder length black hair held a violet tinge in the right light, matching both her lipstick and bass guitar. "Venue's great! Never could've dreamed of playing here."White Lotus
The night was young, the air was warm, and the energy… Ohhh the energy. Backstage in Lotus's Dressing room, the air was palatable with his excitement. He never got tired of it, the feeling of the energy, the lights, or the screaming crowd. Aah! This was a high like no other. A thousand deaths meant nothing on this! Of course, the small girl that was currently laying across the couch situated in the back of his dressing room may say otherwise. Naked, A splayed out spread eagle, it was a poor fan girl that made the mistake of getting too close. She very much got what she wanted, A night like no other. Almost sad, her wild Passion with a star ended with her death. Rolling his sleeves, Lotus stared into the mirror, licking the lipstick across his lips. Just a hint of red, only an accent to make them pop more on stage. The powder whitening his already pale skin to really make him look a bit ethereal. The lipstick was a bit… Coppery. Frowning, he walked back over to the fan, tipping the tip of his brush into the small pool of red laying just above her sternum before reapplying it to his lips… Much better.Abbey Thomas (Nimue)
She'd been to the venue a few times for concerts, but she had never even dreamed of performing there one day. This was all happening so fucking fast. She'd spent all day at Roslyen's house getting ready. Her mom drove her over there just after lunch so her people could get started. They did her make up and her hair and then dressed her in some comfortable clothes that wouldn't fuck anything up when she changed out of them. Her hair had been straight pink, but now it was two toned, half of it purple, and they'd added ridiculously long extensions. They'd used so much hairspray, she coughed and breathed in the cloud of fumes, the taste of it still lingering on the back of her throat. The limo pulled around to the back of The Octavium to the area where the talent unloaded. Her mom squeezed her hand. "You ready, honey?" "We're about to find out. Hey... mom? Thanks... for all of this." "Don't even mention it, my sweet girl. I believe in you and I'm so excited that you're getting this opportunity! You look stunning. Very grown up. You're going to knock their socks off. You're not my baby anymore!" "Oh my god, mom." But she smiled anyway. Just then her door opened and a hand was offered to help her out of the limo. Some of the press were nearby, but they didn't know her enough to be paying her any attention. 'Here we go...' She took the hand and pulled herself out, waiting for her mom, before the two walked into the artist's entrance to get ready.Roslyen Van Steele
This was beginning to be a long day. Four hours in this damn chair, and it didn’t even begin to look like her makeup lady was almost done. Layering her eye-shadow over for the fifth time, before arguing once more with the poor sap that got stuck with doing her hair. They were trying, quite hard, to get her hair and makeup to mostly match tonight's theme. “Do we have eta, guys?” “No Miss Roslyn, Your hair is just taking longer than we expected” Yes, it was her fault her hair was longer than most people are tall. Yes, the poor man was shorter to her hair and could barely manage to hold it in his hands, never mind lay it out on the folding table that had been brought in behind her to try and set the die in. But it sure as hell wasn’t her fault when the man tripped on her hair, knocked her out of the chair and spilled a tub of glitter everywhere!.. Her hair, once a beautiful pink, now had highlights of hot pink and a soft purple etched down its length. Only really visible when she spun and shone off the sides and underneath of her hair. Of course, the glitter was on every inch. Covering her hair…and at this point most of her body from head to damn toe. Thank god I was still in my towel, at least he didn't run my clothes. They couldn't stop getting her ready for her to shower again, it took too long to get her dry. She would merely be …sparkly today. Besides the four people it took to prepare her for the show, her dressing room was empty. A large room bigger than most people's apartments, with a full kitchenette, a shower tucked away in the corner and a makeup table that stretched from one wall to the other. Still only in her towel, a beach towel that still barely covered her massive frame she let out a long sigh. She had an hour to finish getting ready and hadn't even gotten her clothes on…this was getting stupid. Both her, and her newest partner, or apprentice as you may call her Abbey, clothes had been delivered about an hour ago, hanging in a dry cleaning-bag on a rack in the corner.Xander Knight
As Keenan and Xander meandered through the seats, making their way back to the stage with little haste, Naomi began her warmup, plucking through scales and finger exercises. "I think we start with Blood on Your Hands, blacked out arena, that intro will drive them crazy. Lights pull up, energetic starter." The boys discussed the setlist, hopping back up onto the stage and setting up the rest of their gear, as their roadie, Jeff, was... not entirely dedicated. They didn't mind, used to setting themselves up in the underground scene. The band, now complete, began their full warmup, laughing as they went into an impromptu playing of Enter Sandman, Xander doing his best overly dramatic American accent. When they had finished, given the heads up that they would begin letting the fans in soon, the brits headed backstage, having random conversations with the crew, asking about lights and effects and such. Like kids in a candy store, as the awe of the venue had yet to escape them.Abbey Thomas (Nimue)
She and her mom were sitting in her small dressing room, waiting. Her mom was doing her best to calm the young girl's nerves. Abbey herself was doing her best not to nervously pick at her cuticles, her leg bouncing constantly. 'Oh my god this is really happening.' Just then the door opened. "Miss Thomas? You've been invited to Roslyen's suite to come get ready. Your clothes are waiting there for you. Mrs. Thomas, you're welcome to join her or you can take your seat in the VIP box." Her mom gave her a searching look and then stood. "You can do this, Abbey. I think you need to get in the right headspace. Go, get ready. Be pampered by Rosy's assistants. Be the star I know you are. I'll be watching. Just breathe." She kissed her daughter on the forehead. She took in a deep breath and fanned out her fingers at her sides, willing herself to relax. "Okay. Thanks, mom. For everything." She walked out and followed the man to go finish prepping for the show.Storyteller
As it hits 6 pm, doors all around the stadium open and the staff begin wanding individuals, checking bags, and validating tickets. The concert is now open to the public.Aloysius ‘Aloy’ Fumi
Aloy was in full rush mode he was eating and stuffing his face with fast good, and in his black C4 Corvette managed to drift into one of the last spots in the parking lot like it was a scene from one of the fast and the furious movies. He sat in the car and checked his leg pulling up his black jeans and nodding to himself as he reapplied a clean new bandage and got out of his car locking it and stretching his tall muscular body out. I need to get used to being so tall now. Alright first concert you can do this whoo! Just don’t think about Aloy no. Brain off just go enjoy something. Did you lock the car? Aloy was walking away when he did a suddenly 180 and doubled checked the car was locked before he headed in went through security and grabbed his seat. He wasn’t too close but a nice medium distance. He sighed as he sat down alone and fixed the sleeves of his short sleeved black shirt that was tight I gotta buy new clothes man…shut up just enjoy. And with that he sat on his phone waiting for it to begin, praying to any god that would listen for no one from his school to notice him.Sorin Fionn
Sorin and Layla arrive a little early, alive with all the energy in the air around them. There was already a crowd forming as they both skip their way to the security booth, arm in arm like fools without a care in the world. They both were dressed like they were from an old film, Layla dressed like a 1920's flapper and Sorin in a slate gray vest to match his fedora, lucky pin displayed prominently on the left side. Laughing, he says to Layla, "Well, we made quite an entrance! What a great way ta send ya off, aye?"Layla
She laughs along with him, happily replying, "I'll admit, ya really surprised me with th' tickets, Sorin. C'mon, let's get through security quick an' find our seats!"Sorin Fionn
Grinning wide with a wink, he walks with her through security and finds their seats along the right side of the ground floor.Damian Eli
Damian’s bike rumbled into his parking spot he quickly killed the engine and stuffed his gloves and leather jacket in the saddle bags. He was in a casual outfit jeans black steel toe boots and a black tee shirt. His tattoos and scars that ran down his arms would normally make him stand out, but it was a concert he figures he was fine. He grabbed his keys from the ignition locked up the tires and strode his way inside. The security guard eyed him and Damian gave his best "I’m a normal man that enjoys bubblegum pop" smile. He figured it worked well enough and he was brought up to the front row he had spent more than he should have on a front row ticket but he wasn't missing Roslyen he'd waited for her to tour again and nothing would stop him from seeing this show.Ilya Medvedev
Ilya walked into the diner holding a pristine white water lily for Sofia, but that gesture was overlooked by his attire. He was wearing a black mesh shirt, his tattoos on full display, with the tightest black leather pants and platform shoes. His hair was slicked back and he only had eyes for his sweet lady. He led her out to his Harley-Davidson and the two jetted off for The Octavium. As they walked past the line of people waiting in the general admission lines, there were many gasps and stares. He didn't seem to pay them any mind, however, and guided Sofia to the VIP entrance. He gave his name, showed his passes, and the two were admitted to wait in the VIP lounge until the show began. Normally their conversation surrounded their jobs, but today? Today they were off work and he was sure to keep their minds occupied elsewhere. He wanted to show her a different side of himself. A fun side, one she hadn't seen. He peppered her with questions about herself, the things she enjoys, her dreams, in between his own answers to the same questions. He also offered up a wealth of musical knowledge. Ilya had been all over the world and seen music of all genres performed in some of the most legendary concert halls. They were enjoying themselves to the fullest. This would be a night to remember for them both.Sheogorath, The Madgod (Lynn)
Alright look, I brought you out because I want to make a deal- Hey, are you even listening to me?!Sheogorath, The Madgod
Sheogorath continues to walk towards the street and away from the entrance to the Octavium as the foreign thoughts enter his mind. "I don't really care, to be honest." he says aloud in response.Sheogorath, The Madgod (Lynn)
Come on, you only have a few minutes the way you are now but I'm willing to give you a day if you'll do what I ask.. Just hear me out, at least?Sheogorath, The Madgod
He suddenly stops where he is and speaks up again, "How long has it been since I last got to walk this detestably beautiful planet; How many of my own shows have I missed because you are too scared to let me out? And now you want me to go to a concert for you? Pffft, the AUDACITY of this one!" He breaks out into a laugh. "Alright ya bundle of sticks, I'll make a deal. But one day isn't going to cut it, lass. I want one day of every week, you can pick the day but I want that day every week, and I want to stretch my legs at least once a day. Doesn't have to be long, just long enough to grab a bite to eat. And it would make you a gouda friend if you keep the fridge stocked with some cheddar, or maybe some mozzarella. Actually, gouda works too come to think of it, I haven't tried that one yet but it's gotta be good with a name like gouda."Sheogorath, The Madgod (Lynn)
Fine, you can have Mondays, I don't do anything on Mondays anyway. Today will be a bonus. But the moment you do something that comes back to bite me in the ass the deal is off, got it?Sheogorath, The Madgod
Sheogorath smiles and turns around, starting to walk back towards the entrance. "For someone who knew me well enough to bring me into this world you sure are easy to manipulate. That or you really want to go to this concert." He walks into the building and finds a restroom, immediately going into one of the stalls and locking the door. He waits till his 5 minutes are up and he is forced to shift back into Lynn, his body changing shape and his very clothes becoming a totally different getup, going from a flashy and expensive coat and sleek pants to a rather average jeans and hoodie. Then immediately afterwards the process reverses, and Lynn returns to being Sheogorath. As soon as the shift is complete Sheogorath exits the stall and finds his way to the seat on his ticket, a front row seat in section 202. "There are more entertaining things to watch out there but I guess as the inventor of music I should be able to appreciate a good tune. Severely lacking in entrails though..."[Type 1: x1 Minor, -1 EP (11/15)]
Blood Bolt
Shuffling through the crowd, wearing an Outcry hoodie with dyed blue hair and contacts, Lucius was not having a good time. "I don't see why I had to leave everything in the car. I feel naked!" He had to shout at Greg given the packed environment he tried to wade through while Greg parted the sea behind him with his massive size.Greg
"Hmph."Blood Bolt
"Yeah, yeah, I know. 'It's a concert, Lucius. I really wanted to see it, Lucius. Please don't kill anyone there, Lucius. You sound like my fucking mother." Feeling Greg's raised eyebrow without even needing to look, he sighed. "Okay, shit. Yeah I guess you deserve a day to chill. I swear to God if someone bumps me I'm shocking them until they shit themselves. I will not change my mind on that. Bitches gotta learn about the bubble one way or another." The two continued walking through the circle around the seats and stage, Bolt jumping up and down when he saw cotton candy. With a look like a child, Greg sighed and walked over to buy two. And that's how it continued until somehow Greg was holding popcorn, a hotdog, and soda in addition to the sugar fluff. Bolt, for his part, was wiggling to get comfortable in his seat with a mouth full of sugar. "Whese are gud sits!" He mumbled. "Oo bed ye couldn't go further."Greg
Of course, they couldn't go further. If they were in the pit--like he wanted--that would result in bumping, and then a shocking, and then the smell of someone losing control of their body following. Greg preferred if that didn't happen, as he imagined everyone else did too. "These are fine. They have screens."Blood Bolt
Following Greg's gaze to the giant screens smiled. "Oh my lanta, if they show us we totes have to kiss. Kiss Cam, Greg, it's mandatory. Better slap on some ChapStick, big boy, cause Imma lay a big one on you."Storyteller
BOOM The thunder outside was deafening. The skies had split open, and rain began pouring down as the crowds of people were trying to make their way inside the venue. The Octavium was almost at full capacity. (Covid, what?) Everyone shuffling around, some of them drenched and leaving puddles everywhere they went, getting their beers and snacks, finding their seats. The energy was electric. Just then the standard music playlist playing through the speakers shut off and the lights dimmed. This was it. The show was about to begin.Xander Knight
The lights dimmed, the crowd was abuzz. In the blackened arena, the members of Outcry made their way to the stage, taking up their instruments and breathing in the energy of the crowd, now awash in shadow as their cries and cheers permeated the very air. The telltale guitar stabs of their opening song broke through the speakers of the Octavium, a full ten seconds until the rest of the band joined in, bringing the lights of the arena up to see the band on stage, Xander Knight's voice ringing out into the microphone, a good singing voice devolving into primal yells of the chorus, his heart thumping against his chest as the song continued, their punk rock sound beating through the chests of those in the pit, the lyrics of corporate greed and defiance against the establishment made for one hell of an opener to what would certainly be a unique night. (Outcry Playlist)Layla
She loved it. Every second of the energy around her, the music filling the air. She occasionally looks back to Sorin, seeing if he is having a good time, too, and in between songs, she says loud enough for him to hear over the crowd, "Reminds me of what someone I know would say when he was younger!"Sorin Fionn
"Aye, but what's ta say he doesn't feel the same now?" he replies with a grin.Damian Eli
Damian was having a great time jumping and singing along to whatever songs he knew. The only problem with his seats was he couldn't form a mosh pit but other than that he was having a great timeXander Knight
As the song ended, the bandmates smiled to each other, turning out to the crowd with various hand raises and 'thank you's. "Welcome, all! We are Outcry, pleasure to be here!" Xander loved to interact with the crowd at their shows, though he had never had so much crowd to interact with. They played another two songs, the first a somewhat mellow, melodic song of personal pain and finding a way in the world, the second a hard and fast modern punk anthem with heavy headbanging riffs. "Show of hands, how many have never seen us live before? Alright, alright... how many have never heard of Outcry?" He looked out over the sea of people, surveying the hands with a smirk, pouring a bottle of water over his head and shaking his long, wavy white hair. "Well what do you think?" he shouted out, unable to contain his smile at the roar that returned to him, looking back at his bandmates. Naomi, shaking her head with a soft smile at Xander's antics, Keenan holding a hand up in a mock talking gesture while the other one playfully held a middle finger to their front man. "Let’s get some energy back in ya!" Xander cried, the band playing another three songs before their next crowd break, the first straddling the line between melodic and passive anger, the second a short, fast, bass driven headbanger, and the third probably classified as a hard rock groove, featuring the vocals of Naomi much more than the others. After their crowd interactions, they had only one song left...Aloysius ‘Aloy’ Fumi
Aloy seemed to be enjoying himself, bopping his head along with the others around him in his own subdued style. Tapping his foot along too and quietly singing to himself, quite the opposite to his car sing-a-longs, well, when you're surrounded by people you get quiet, and his eyes were still darting around the crowd. C'mon man you're fine his just relax. C'mon...... He shook his head.Xander Knight
Xander Knight took the microphone in his hand, approaching the edge of the stage and looking out into the audience with a smile. “You’ve been a great crowd, and we’d like to leave you with a gift. Our last song is a new one, never played or heard before, off a new album releasing soon!” Taking a moment to absorb the roar of the crowd, he stepped back to return to his spot on stage as they began to play their treat for such a wonderful venue and brilliant crowd. The song was a more melodic sound, demonstrating Xander’s vocal skill as opposed to the angry screaming which featured in most of their songs. Though still full of the ‘mad at the world’ anger of their punk roots, there was a sadness hidden beneath it, Xander himself appearing to be nearing tears, though from sadness or anger was difficult to tell. As the last word of the final chorus rang out, white smoke began to pour out from the edges of the stage, the lights dimming out as his words echoed through the Octavium.White Lotus
“And here I thought this was supposed to be punk.” A strange voice seemed to echo out from all corners of the arena. A thudding beat pounding as the smoke seemed to pillow out more and more from just in front of outcry. A lone figure seemed to rise up from the center of the smoke hidden stage. Wielding a full stand microphone and… a mohawk? Lotus stood in all his glory with a shit eating grin in the center as the smoke started to clear. Tight leather pants left very little to the imagination of those in the front of the crowd and the pit. Shirtless with a bit of oil, so his already pale skin seemed to shine in the low light, Lotus was currently sporting his purple hair all done up in a kinda short mohawk. Chains layered across his torso and his foot thumping to a hidden beat, he held his mic out to outcry with a boisterous call, “Come on! We can do better than that. Hit it! Let's show those wonderful people a real good time~!”Storyteller
If the crowd had loved Outcry, which they did, they didn't know how to react to Lotus. When he appeared, there was a silence, then a slow building roar as all the little fan girls screamed out. This was why they were here. Spinning on stage, he leveled his mic towards the crowd and gave a wink. Towards every fan girl who thought he only had eyes for her. If they only knew how he liked his women. The crowd was deafening as Outcry began the opening to their duet.Xander Knight
The band played along, welcoming their new friend with a switch of a few pedals, letting loose with a heavy metal strike at strings and a fast, hard double kick drum. Living up to the punk rock image, Xander thrashed his sopping wet white hair back and forth as he played, giving an occasional glance to Naomi and Lotus, extremely pleased with the night so far, gauging the reaction of the crowd. As far as concerts went, tonight was certainly a one of a kind experience.White Lotus
Lotus sang his heart out, dancing across the stage as he roared the lyrics to Lost Child. A song he had written, with the help of Outcry, just for this show. Fans screamed out in love and adoration as he ran along the edges of the stage reaching down with a smile to everyone he could reach, as the song came to a close he gave a low bow. “Thank you~! Thank you~! And a huge thank you to OUTCRY! “A round of applause burst from the crowd as he pointed his hand towards the opening act. “I must say that was quite fun, though I don't know if punk is quite my style. What do all of you think? I do often think I'm so kinda of bad boy…a bit of Lucifer type?” Lotus had taken center stage, Letting Outcry walk back off as he commanded the attention of the crowd. All the spotlights pointed to him in different colors. Running his hand through his hair he knocked off the crappy Mohawk with a smirk as the opening beats of Lucifer began to play, his backup dancer sliding onto the stage behind him. The show just like Lotus himself was an extra one, lights flashing, holograms of Lotus appearing and disappearing as he sang his way through the song, only to end with Lotus looking at a holo of himself before turning and giving a wink to the crowd. Lotus next for songs went off without an incident. Only him dancing his way across the stage with massive smiles and electronic beats. He was the heartthrob the young girls all came to this concert for, or at least he thought himself as it. Finishing his last song, he reached down and touched the hands of one of his fans, a young girl who he pulled up onto the stage. Spinning her around and giving her a kiss, leaving a red-lipstick stain on her cheek, then helping her off-stage with the end of his song Fake Love. Laughing, he bowed a bit as the next song kicked up, looking around with a smirk. As the song Villain started, he lifted the mic to his lips to begin the song, only to have a female voice play through the speakers. Looking puzzled, he looked out. The music stopped. “Hey now, what was that?” Of course, this was all planned, and he went to try it again, only to once more have a female voice begin the song…though this time it kept going. A massive figure walking out the center of the stage with long blond hair trailing behind her. Roslyen stalked her way across the stage with gasps from the crowd. The normally tall Roslyen was massive. Her heels made her seem like just another holo, taking over the entire stage with her figure. A tight black dress, stopping mid-thighs, accented her red and black acrylic nails that she gripped the mic with. As the second chorus started, she had made it to Lotus, who pretended to be scared as she pushed on him. Letting him lean off the stage, only to pull him back up with her with a giggle. Finishing the finale “paw” of the song with a blown kiss to Lotus, then the crowd, as they exploded into applause.Roslyen Van Steele
This was her show now, she thought as she stalked her way across the stage. Her first song was in English, but after this she would have to switch to Korean. Ugh. It was a challenge, but she had been training for this for months. Finishing her first solo song, she leaned her massive frame on Lotus with a smirk, a small bit of the platform was raised to make Lotus not seem so short next to the heel wearing Roslyen. Waving to the crowd, she pushed Lotus with a laugh as Kill This Love began.Paige Nelson
All 5'4" of the girl was covered in sweat. Her clothes were stuck to her like glue. Her hair was a total fucking mess, sticking out every which way. She had rocked out so hard to Outcry in the VIP booth that her voice was hoarse and her body was already starting to feel sore. She had without a doubt been the most enthusiastic person in the room, but she remembered a dude in leather and mesh jumping around with her during parts of it too. Respect. This was her first concert and for the love of music, she wouldn't miss another one if she could help it. She found a stool on the side of the room to flop down on when Outcry left the stage. She let herself sit there and catch her breath momentarily. "Water. I need water." She threw herself back off the stool and went over to the bar in the lounge. She tipped the bottle over her head, throwing a say something look at the couple unfortunate enough to be in the splash zone, then started chugging.Damian Eli
Damian had absolutely lost his shit from Lotus' performance and if the people around thought he didn't have energy left man were they shocked at how loud he screamed when Roslyen came on stage to join lotus. All 5'10 and 180 lbs of him clad in a leather jacket tattoos and scars on his arms visible as he pretty much lost whatever sanity he appeared to have over a bubble gum pop artist.Layla
Lost in the throes of the crowd's overwhelming, she still cheered even though her voice was hoarse, soothed a small amount by the occasional drink of water.Sorin Fionn
Even if he couldn't understand a majority of what was being sung, be it in a different language or inability to hear over the crowd around him, he loved when there was a melody for him to follow, and found it interesting and fun regardless.Aloysius ‘Aloy’ Fumi
Aloy took this chance to scan around the room again, seeing a few familiar faces he sunk into his seat, trying to disappear in the crowd, he didn’t want to talk to any of them yet, he hadn’t been screaming or yelling just quietly nodding his head to the beat. Okay Aloysius just another dude at the concert, people are too busy enjoying it and getting drinks. You’ll be right.Xander Knight
The show went wonderfully. Xander, Naomi, and Keenan made their way backstage, smiling and congratulating each other on one hell of a performance as they navigated their way to the V.I.P. lounge, dumping a shared water bottle atop their heads. Spotting Paige, the band approached as Xander reached for a hug. “Hell of a show, eh? What did you think of the new song?”Paige Nelson
"It was awesome dude. All of it was. Badass fucking show. I can't believe I got to watch it from up here. Perfect fucking spot. I'm fucking tired though."Roslyen Van Steele
The beats of Kill This Love blared to a slow close. Roslyen standing center of the stage with Lotus standing behind her. This may be his show, but it was her moment. Or rather, their moment. Wiping a bit of sweat off her face, she lifted the microphone to her lips with a large smile. “Have to say, it's been a while since I sang in Korean. Probably since my last tour. It seems like I still got it.” She would give a small laugh as she bought time for the other backup dancer, and the third singer to sneak their ways into position as the next song got ready. Walking right up to the edge of the stage, she stood over the pit seats and smiled out to the crowd. A small tick in her earpiece told her they were ready. “But it hasn't been long for me being a pop star now is it?” Of course, the cheesy line was the cue for pop stars to begin. The beat roaring to life as the dance bounced their way forward. The third singer, young Abby, being led on stage as both Lotus and Rosey began to sing.Abbey Thomas (Nimue)
Before being led out onto stage, Abbey psyched herself up off to the side. "Ok, you can do this, it's nothing. Ignore the crowd. Just dance and sing. You do this all the time at home. You aced it in practice. Paige is out there somewhere. Your mom. Do it for them." She bounced up and down on the balls of her feet for a few seconds and then bounded out on stage. 'Fuck the lights are so bright and hot. This is insane. Omg look at all the people! Shit, shit, get into place.' She fell into step easily with the other singers, just like they'd rehearsed. Her voice was a little shaky at first, but it was soft enough that she was able to blend it in. She quickly got herself under control and then threw everything she had into the performance.Roslyen Van Steele
This was going perfectly. The show, the fans, the stage set. Nothing was going wrong. Something that was beyond rare. Gone was her hyper bouncing voice, she had switched gears for the much slower song. Walking over to Abby as they sang their duet, every word left her lips with passion, and love. Her soul cried out for both the music and whoever Roslyen had written this song for. As she finished the first verse, she was standing over Abby, smiling down at her. She gave a tilted smirk and nudged her head towards the front, giving her a small push. Her large hand sitting on Abby's back, she couldn't say anything, but she could urge the girl. Whispering her lines slowly for the chorus, going quieter and quieter, trying to encourage Abby to take the lead.Abbey Thomas (Nimue)
She stumbled a half step as she felt the gentle push on her back but recovered again. She felt so awkward up on stage, but hoped it didn't look too bad... 'I'm sure Rosy will tell me later if I suck, but here goes nothing...' She took a deep breath between the verse and the first chorus and when she sang next, it was with feeling. "All the things she said, all the things she said Runnin' through my head, runnin' through my head Runnin' through my head" Everyone in the audience would start to feel the pull of her voice. "All the things she said, all thе things she said Runnin' through my head, runnin' through my head All thе things she said" Their eyes would be focused on her, her movements, her expressions. "This is not enough" Rosy would echo behind her "All the things she said, all the things she said" "This is not enough!" They could feel the emotions in her voice, like it called to them, as she got more passionate. There was a musical break in the song. She looked out at the crowd, connected with them as she took slow, even breaths. When she picked up the song again, they were hooked. She started out soft at first, making them feel the anxiety in her lyrics. "And I'm all mixed up, feeling cornered and rushed They say it's my fault, but I want her so much Wanna fly her away where the sun and the rain Come in over my face, wash away all the shame" Her singing got louder and the emotions got more conflicting. Anxiety. Flirtation. Obsession. "When they stop and stare, don't worry me 'Cause I'm feelin' for her what she's feelin' for me I can try to pretend, I can try to forget But it's drivin' me mad, goin' out of my head" She held "heeeeeead" so that it was still lingering as Rosy took the lead on the first verse of the chorus. "All the things she said, all the things she said Runnin' through my head, runnin' through my head Runnin' through my head" Then Abbey joined her for the second verse of the chorus so that they sang it together as equals. "All the things she said, all the things she said Runnin' through my head, runnin' through my head All the things she said" She belted out the next two lines more and more urgently. "This is not enough... This is not enoughhhh!" She stopped as Rosy finished the song, her voice getting quieter as it faded with the music. "All the things she said, all the things she said All the things she said, all the things she said All the things she said, all the things she said" The stage lights would dim so that all that was left were spotlights on Abbey and Roslyen. The crowd stayed silent for a few moments, enraptured, before erupting into thundering applause. Abbey felt drained. 'I guess I really did leave it all out there on the stage. Fuck me.' The effects of her singing wouldn't last more than those few moments, but no one would forget that song and how it made them feel any time soon. The girl smiled sheepishly and blushed to their reaction.[x1 Minor, 1 EP, 14/15 EP]
Roslyen Van Steele
Rosey was on the verge of tears, not only affected by her voice. Even if she didn't know it, the song, the duet. No, the entire performance by Abbey was far beyond anything she could ever hope for. Breaking character, she ran forward and scooped up Abbey into a massive hug. Spinning her a bit with a bunch of laughter. Small sparkles dripped down her cheek as she set her down and lifted her mic. “Now that was something, wouldn't you say?” Pride, affection, joy, all dripped in her voice as she spoke to the crowd, who responded with a deafening roar, louder than for Outcry, louder than for Lotus, and even louder than when Rosey herself walked onto the stage. They were screaming for Abbey, deafening the world for this poor little girl.Paige Nelson
"Hoooolyyyy shiiiiiit." The girl just sat there with her jaw dropped as she watched her friend on stage. "I knew she had a voice, but hoooollyyyy SHIIIIIIT!" She said to Xander. "Did I tell you or what?! Dude, I don't even like this bubble gum bullshit, but still. I got fucking chills. Damn, girl. Fuckin damn." She ran over to her Abbey's mom in the booth. "Mrs. Thomas, Abbey was fucking legit!!!"Storyteller
The woman had tears in her eyes and was standing close to the glass wiping them away. "Language, Paige. Actually. You know what? You're right. She really was fucking legit." She laughed and smiled, pulling the girl into a side hug.Paige Nelson
Oh. Oh no. Affection. "Heh. Yeah. Cool."Aloysius ‘Aloy’ Fumi
“Damn, she’s pretty good wait hold on….is that? Oh-“ great, Another person I know how many people do I know that are here?! She won’t notice me luckily but I should be fine. Aloy enjoyed watching, but wasn’t the type to make it known how he felt just quietly nodding along to the music and clapping when appropriate.Damian Eli
Damian had stopped screaming and just stood there in shock and awe. He'd been to concert's before sure but he'd never experienced a performance like that before.Layla
She was stunned and starry-eyed at the young lady's performance, and did something she never did before: lay her head on Sorin's shoulder without tears of grief.Sorin Fionn
That's a good set of pipes she's got. An apprent-his thoughts cut short by the head resting on his shoulder, looking to his sister with a mild confusion before smiling and shaking his head and returning to listening and watching the performance.Sheogorath, The Madgod
Sheogorath leans forward in his seat as the song begins, a look of surprise on his face. At the end of the song he stands and speaks up. "Wait, she's better than I am! I invented music, and she's better than me!"Sheogorath, The Madgod (Lynn)
I told you this would be worth it. And besides, you've never even sung before, you play instruments and you rap. How can she be better or worse than nothing?Sheogorath, The Madgod
"Damn it, I really hate when you're right." he says as he sits back down. "Does this deserve Fish stick? I'm not quite sure, but at the very least it deserves a reward. If I can remember this by Monday, that is.."Xander Knight
Xander and Keenan, for the first bit of Roselyn’s songs, we’re dancing like maniacs in the V.I.P. lounge to songs that probably weren’t danced to. As the duet began, Naomi placed gentle hands on Paige’s shoulders, looking out over the balcony. “Your friend’s quite good,” she said, leaning down to her ear so as not to yell over the sound of the crowd. As it came to an end, Keenan and Xander had made their way back to Naomi and Paige, looking on with awe. “Maybe she could sing for your band,” Xander said with a wink to Paige, looking up to Naomi with a grin.Storyteller
Roslyen and Abbey left the stage to rounds of seemingly endless applause. The love of the crowd was deafening even as they headed backstage and out of the limelight. Their part in the show was over. Their little performance was merely a midpoint for Lotus' entire show, however. Having stepped backstage previously. He was walking towards the stage as they were leaving. He gave both ladies a wink. Currently he wore quite little. Tight form fitting pants and an undone button up. Dark red paint splattered across his chest, and a small bit of smoky eyeliner accented his eyes. When he stepped back out on stage, he was as energetic as ever. Dancing, bouncing and flirting with the entire crowd- but he was doing far more than that. He was watching… His eyes scanning for his next playmates. Waiting to find the perfect person, or people, to bring home for his evening. Backstage Rosey and Abbey would walk towards a lounge. A large backstage area for the Performers to relax, and unwind after the show. Of course, it was already full of food, liquor, and other drinks requested both by the performers and otherwise provided. A few backstage pass holders were already there, clapping as they entered.Blood Bolt
"Aight Greggy-Poo, have you had enough."Greg
Looking over, eyes still watery from the music and face alight with enjoyment, a frown broke the excitement as the big man held up backstage passes.Blood Bolt
"You are out of your mind if you think I'm--"Greg
Holding up the passes even closer to Bolt the other man sighed and threw up his hands.Blood Bolt
"What am I going to do with you! Fine, fine I said! For 10 minutes, then we're out of there. I need to do something fun tonight after sitting through this opera."Sheogorath, The Madgod
"Well, I wouldn't hold a cold marble to it, but hey, it was alright I guess." he says as he gets up to leave.Sheogorath, The Madgod (Lynn)
You almost sound jealous. Worried they might surpass the great inventor of music? she teases sarcastically.Sheogorath, The Madgod
"Please. There was hardly anything new to this, all the same as the rest. Only truly exciting part was that girl... If the woman from all those years ago had sung like that maybe I would have turned her into something other than a lute."Damian Eli
Damian made his way backstage holding up his pass trying his best not to seem overly excited but below the surface he felt like a giddy school boy.Layla
She continues to rest her head on Sorin's shoulder up to the very end of the song, smiling happily. "If only we were that famous, we could be singin' with th' big kids, too."Sorin Fionn
"Aye, that would be quite an experience, fer sure. Buuut..." he pulls two backstage passes from his shirt pocket. "It might be fun ta at least meet 'em, yeah?"Layla
Her eyes practically bugged out of her head before exclaiming "Yer just tellin' me now?! C'mon! Lessgo!" She jumps up and grabs Sorin by the hand to make their way backstage.Xander Knight
Xander turned, nodding to his bandmates as the backstage passholders approached. "Time to be rockstars, eh?" He nudged Paige with an elbow, leaning down to her ear over the budding crowd noise. "You can stay, or you can go to the dressing room if you'd like." He brushed his long, wavy white hair back, taking a step forward to meet the passholders. Control, restraint. You can hold it in, you can control it, he thought to himself, taking a deep breath. Xander Knight, as much as he hated to admit it, looked very much the punk rock star he was, all 6'4" of his golden tanned skin covered in a patchwork of American traditional and bohemian tattoos, his stark white hair certainly an odd contrast, but he wore it well, shaved on the sides and back in a sort of undercut, much longer in the front than the back, pushed back and full of wavy curls, reminiscent of early post-punk styles. His eyes, a steel gray, were calm and relaxed, but full of joy. He had never considered himself a rockstar, but the fans saw him differently, and he appreciated each of them.Storyteller
Naomi Kiyama and Keenan Booker, bassist and drummer respectively, approached soon after, the differences in their personalities immediate. Naomi, a tall woman with dark purple hair worn in a long bob style with lipstick to match her hair colour, wore a cutoff tank top made from one of the Outcry tour tees, her torn black skinny jeans betraying very little of her wealth. Keenan, a shorter but still quite fit dark-skinned man, wore his dreadlocks in a sort of tied up mohawk. He too wore an Outcry tee, but tucked into the waistband of his pants over his left leg, a bit of sweat and water making him shine. Keenan was definitely the most jovial of the three, his body loose as he greeted fans, smiling wide and laughing.Sorin Fionn
The two of them were dressed like they were from a different time, Sorin in a nicer slate gray suit with a rusty red tie and Layla in her own 1920's style getup. The two approach the members of Outcry, exclaiming with wide smiles, "What a night ta be alive, aye? Can we grab ye somethin' ta eat or some water ta cool off?"Ilya Medvedev
He grabbed Sofia's hand and gently pulled her out of the VIP booth. He wouldn't let go as he guided them through the throngs of people, making sure she stayed safe and close. His grip was tight, but not painfully so. They were like salmon swimming upstream at points, but he got them through it deftly. When they finally made it to the meet and greet, they flashed their badges and made their way to meet the stars of the night.Sofia Taylor
The man was her anchor to the real world and she let Ilya guide them to where they needed to be, pushing herself right tight against him when they weaved through the crowds of people. Her other hand was firmly holding his arm as though she were afraid they would be separated. Sofia had enjoyed the concert, but she felt a little guilty at feeling relieved when the performances had all ended. She had vastly overestimated her ability in tuning out the mass of concert-goers and the girl was a tad overwhelmed at the moment. Green eyes were wide, and she looked around nervously. Backstage will be quieter and less people and everything will be okay, she told herself. Just don’t lose him and everything will be okay. Her grip tightened on his hand at the thought.Paige Nelson
She leaned into Xander with her reply. "As much as I want to just skulk in the shadows, I gotta see Abbey. You've got plenty of fans waiting for you anyway. Have fun, star boy." The sarcasm was strong with this one. She stood up on her tippy toes and hopped around, awkward as fuck, until she finally found her friend surrounded by a throng of people. She could have pushed through them, but she wasn't gonna fuck it up for her bestie. She waited patiently, while making snide comments and huffing and puffing a bit of course, until she could finally make it up to see Abbey.Aloysius ‘Aloy’ Fumi
Aloy had left rather stealthily once the concert was over, he knew too many people here. Didn't want to be seen by anyone from school either. So, he just left.Sofia Taylor

After socializing with some of the other people, Sorin recognizes the waitress, so naturally he smiles and waves to get her attention, taking note of the good looking man accompanying her. Aha, that might be that Ilya fellow she talked about. His eyes spot that they haven't sampled any refreshments yet, and promptly grabs some bottles of water to bring over. "Ah! Miss Sofia, good ta see ya, lass! How are ya? And who's your friend?" He asks with genuine curiosity, his eyes twinkling with excitement much different from the melancholy she saw him last. He offers them each a water bottle before winking and saying, "Gotta stay hydrated too."Sofia Taylor
It took a moment for the woman to recognize Sorin, but it had nothing to do with forgetting his face. The woman’s brain was still quite addled from being overstimulated and well, it made her really fucking slow. “Hey...” Light green eyes scoured his face with a bit of confusion and then it finally clicked. Sorin. The man from the diner. But did she call him by his first name? No. No she did not. “Mr. Magic Hands! I didn’t know you were going to be here.” The girl flashed him a bright smile as she took the water bottle from him. “Thank you. The concert was great, wasn't it?”Sorin Fionn
Grinning from ear to ear, he laughs heartily. "Haha! Good to see ya remembered ma magic tricks! And what a concert it was!" He turns his head to look at Ilya, his jovial and confident grin ever present on his face. "I'm afraid I didn't catch yer name, ma handsome friend." His smile grows a bit coy as he looks from one to the other, adding "I take it yer each other's dates fer tonight, eh? Don't ye both look a lovely duo tonight?"Ilya Medvedev
His infectious smile was indeed plastered all over his face as he extended a hand towards the new arrival. "I am Ilya, escort of pretty lady Sofia!" The double meaning of his words seemed to be missed by our bear friend. "She shines like only pretty lady can. Ilya is just here to make sure she has good time. Good meeting you, Mr. Magic Hands!"Sorin Fionn
He happily takes Ilya's hand in his own, giving it an enthusiastic shake. "Aha, so yer th' one that made th' happy panda outside that diner! Fantastic work, m'friend!" Retrieving his hand, he offers a bottle of water to Ilya, as well. "I hafta say, th' both of ya look radiant tonight. I hope that someday I can show ye ma magic hands in action, Ilya. Tonight, th' spotlight belongs ta th' stars of th' show." He motions with his head toward the general direction of the performers of the evening.Layla
Having just freshened up, she scans the room for Sorin and sees him talking to an interesting couple. She strides with the grace of a dancer towards them, and sidles up to Sorin, her burgundy hair swaying behind her in an elegant braid. She exhales, and says while looking Ilya and Sofia up and down with her light brown eyes, "Ah, much better.. I see yer already making more friends, Sorin."Sorin Fionn
"Oh, aye! Ilya, Sofia, this is ma sister an' partner in crime, Layla. Layla, meet ma new friends, Ilya, marvelous at trimmin' hedges I might add, and Sofia, a real charmer and an absolute treat ta talk with. Practically runs a diner in Fortune with an absolute legend of a cook. Bob, was it? Wonderful place fer brunch." Sofia might recognize the woman accompanying Sorin from a picture she saw in his wallet.Sofia Taylor
The exchange was watched with a wide grin on her face. Though she wasn’t certain how she was able to hold back her laughter with Ilya calling Sorin Mr. Magic Hands and double entendres being tossed about all nonchalantly, but she silently prayed to whatever gods that were listening that she wouldn’t break either. Thankfully another person joined the mix, someone to divert her attention to. Someone who already looked familiar despite never meeting them. It finally dawned on her. Why she knew her face. “Oh! The botanical gardens! You’re the pretty lady from the picture!” She hadn’t meant to say that part out loud and even tried to move past it, though her face was aflame with embarrassment. “A pleasure to meet you, Layla. And yes, Bob’s the man. A legend. The diner would crumble without him.” Poor Ilya would find that Sofia was gripping his arm tightly as she muddled her way through that mess.Layla
She laughs, the tone almost musical, before replying with her own coy smile, "Aye, an' a pleasure ta meet a fine-lookin' young woman like yerself, Miss Sofia." Dammit, Sorin. You make so many good lookin' friends, an' I just can't help myself from likin' all of 'em. She blushes as her thoughts of both the new figures turn a bit lewd, and blinks twice before changing the subject, if nothing else to get her mind off of the current thoughts pervading her mind. "So, how did ya both like th' show?"Ilya Medvedev
"It was best show Ilya has seen in long time. Very good. Though no surprise given the talent on stage. Xander is friend. And that young one, such soul in that voice. One to watch. Ilya knows!"Xander Knight
Through the mild crowd of backstage pass holders, the members of Outcry shook hands and signing autographs, Xander, though a wide smile on his face, seemed to be focused on something in the back of his mind. Calm. Control. Naomi, the rather tall bassist, elbowed Xander to gesture to the new group, widening Xander’s smile. “Ilya! How’d you like the show, mate? And your friends here.” He looked between them, giving each a nod to come forward.Sorin Fionn
Following the lovely pair to greet the members of Outcry, his eyebrows raised at Ilya's mention that the punk star was a friend of his. He's certainly got some connections. What an interesting man! Accompanying Ilya, Sofia and Layla, he excitedly awaits his turn to introduce himself, and when it is time he enthusiastically shakes their hands, exclaiming "A pleasure! Name's Sorin, an' might I say-" he closes his eyes and makes a facial expression similar to Pasha from Emperor’s New Groove when describing how the mountainside sings when the sun hits it just right "-that was a stellar performance tonight!" His facial expression returning to one of glee, he asks with a wink "Can I getcha folks anythin'? Something's ta drink while ye catch up fer a moment?"Ilya Medvedev
"Xander!!" He was shouting just a tad louder than normal. Hazards of a concert. "You did so good, friend! Ilya has not had this much fun in long time! Many thanks, my friend, many thanks. This is my sweet lady, Sofia! She and her friends are wanting to meet you." He ushers them all forward. "Go on, get picture, autograph, don't be shy!"Sofia Taylor
Be cool. You can do this. Holy heck --he’s tall. No, don’t you fucking dare say anything about that. Be cool. Wow. Everyone in the band is super cute too. Shut up. Sofia was a nervous wreck on the inside and a little bit on the outside as she was ushered towards the band, desperately hoping that her thoughts wouldn’t accidentally be spoken aloud. And now that she was standing in front of them with green eyes wide and resembling a deer caught in the headlights, she was drawing a blank on what she was supposed to be doing exactly. An autograph? A picture? Take their order? Fuck if she knew. “Hey.” The woman’s hand lifted up for an awkward wave and then she took a step back. Yep. Cool as a cucumber this one.Xander Knight
Nodding his head to the group in thanks, Xander shook Sorin's hand. "Thank you mate, but we've got it. Glad to hear you've enjoyed yourself." The rockstar turned his attention to Ilya, smiling wide. "It was a group effort, really. I'm not sure I've introduced you; these are my bandmates, Naomi and Keenan. Guys, this is Ilya, the bear man I've told you about." He turned his head to Sofia, chuckling a bit. "Hello, sweet lady friend. How'd you find the show?" He smiled warmly, very pleased with the reaction and reception of their first American show, especially from his new friend, and his friends. For the first time since his arrival in this strange new land, he felt... normal.Sofia Taylor
Oh no. Engaging in more conversation meant that there were more chances for her to embarrass herself, but she certainly wasn’t going to ignore him. She expelled a shaky breath that stemmed from nerves rather than fear and then put on her brightest smile. “It was spectacular! And I really enjoyed the last song on your set. It was very moving. Emotional. And it really showed off your voice-- you have a beautiful voice. I mean, everything about y--” Abort, abort. Go back to music. “--and I can hardly wait for the new album.” Sofia had grown rather flustered by the end of that sentiment, so she pretended that there was something interesting on the floor.Sorin Fionn
I like this lad. Modest. Not full of himself like other stars. Grinning wide, he agrees "Certainly! Ye've got some chops on ya. Though I agree, t'was a phenomenal group effort." He leans in slightly, adding "Though I might be a bit biased; I like ballads like that last one." Xander, Naomi and Keenan.. got it. Going over the list of names in his head, and the details of each face associated with each name, he commits them to memory rapidly.Xander Knight
The shirtless, dark-skinned drummer nudged Xander’s side, smiling to Sofia. “Your first fangirl! You really are a rockstar!” he said with a laugh, getting only an eye roll from Naomi. “I’m glad you all liked the new song. I was worried people would think I was going soft,” Xander said, giving a chuckle to Ken’s antics. “And thank you, Sofia. Most people think of Outcry as all screams, so I’m glad my singing voice gets some recognition.” His smile twitched for a moment as he felt the static brimming within his body, the omnipresent sting covering every inch of his skin as the hairs on his arms stood on end. Trying his best to wipe the evidence from his expression, he took a half step back, drawing in a deep breath. Control. Relax, don’t panic, you can control this.Ilya Medvedev
Ilya nodded at Naomi and Keenan. "Hello, bandmates! I am indeed bear man. Well met, new friends. Any time you need bear or bush or bear bush, you call Ilya. Xander can give my number to any he chooses. Ilya is here for all." He noticed Sofia's anxiety and put a comforting hand on her lower back, though not inappropriately placed of course. This is Ilya we're talking about. Ever the gentleman.Sofia Taylor
The woman tensed up at first when she felt a touch on her lower back and once she realized it was Ilya doing the touching, appropriate touching, she tried to relax. Really, she did. But oh my God, Ilya’s hand is like right there. On her. And there’s not a coherent thought in her mind right now, except that the warmth of Ilya’s hand matches the warmth that’s spread to her face.Sorin Fionn
"So, how's about we getcha fine folks a group photo, aye? Ta commemorate a great night with good company." Ever-present smile on his face, he reaches into his pocket to pull out his phone to take a picture of a real Kodak moment, ushering everyone stand next to each other. "Any pose or face ye'd like ta make ta be immortalized in a picture!" He adds with a light chuckle.Layla
Confused "Sorin, wouldn't you like ta be in this one, too?"Sorin Fionn
"Sisterrr, tonight's fer you."Layla
"Aye, but I want ta remember it spending time with ma favorite brother. Maybe just them, then we get one with us?"Sorin Fionn
"All right, as ye wish." He once again ushers Ilya, Sofia and the members of Outcry to stand together for a picture, curious to see what poses or faces everyone would make for it.Xander Knight
Naomi and Keenan smiled at the group, standing on either side of Xander before motioning for the VIPs to gather around. They had known Xander long enough to be able to tell when he was having his... issues. Looking across the VIP lounge, Xander nodded his head at Paige, asking her to be in the picture. It was nice to be doing what he loved, with the few people in the world he felt enjoyed him as well. Keenan, an arm around Xander's shoulders, nudged the rockstar before giving a subtle nod. Xander felt the pricks of static racing beneath his skin, felt it tighten into gooseflesh. Relax, control it. You can do it; you can handle it. Control.Paige Nelson
She saw Xander motion her over for the group picture. 'Ew. I'm not doing this alone.' She grabbed Abbey by the arm and dragged her away from the throng.Abbey Thomas (Nimue)
Confusion colored her mind as she was all of a sudden pulled away from the new fan in front of her. She stumbled on her feet for a few steps and then skipped over with Paige. Riding the high from the show, she threw her arms around her friend's shoulders and smiled big and bright.Paige Nelson
'Ahhh. If it were anyone else. I swear to God.' "Loser." She smirked, but then reached up and placed her hand on Abbey's arm, trying to not look too awkward.Ilya Medvedev
As everyone huddled in together, Ilya pulled Sofia in close. His arm wrapped around her side gently. That natural and familiar scent that followed him into the diner perfumed the air close to her. She could feel the warmth of him pressed against her. "Smile, sweet lady! Cheeeeeese!"Sofia Taylor
The woman thinks she must be dreaming and there’s no way in heck that she’s all cozied up to Ilya with his arm now around her. His scent filled her senses and had her feeling light-headed, somewhat giddy from being this close to him for such a period of time, and it’s hard for her to keep her gaze at the camera for a proper picture. She’s smiling though, but she can’t help that her gaze keeps straying over to the man next to her.Sorin Fionn
Now that everyone is huddled together, he sets the focus for his camera, getting it set to take multiple shots without flash in case there were some blinkers among the small crowd that has been gathered. "All righty, ev'ryone! Say 'cheddar'!" And upon the full chorus of 'Cheddar', he holds down the button, taking a good eight to ten pictures before relaxing his arms a little bit. He sorts through the pictures, looking to see which ones were whose favorites. When it came time to sort them out for Paige and Abbey, he smiles warmly and says, "I don't believe I've th' pleasure of makin' yer acquaintances. Name's Sorin, what's yers?" with a wink.Paige Nelson
"Nope." She chunked a deuce and walked away, back to hide in the shadows again until she could finally go home. 'I'm not coming out of my room for a week after this.'Abbey Thomas (Nimue)
"Sorry, uh, don't mind her. I'll get it for the both of us. Here, hold out your phone." She worked some young person magic and beamed the picture from his phone to hers without having to exchange numbers. "Thanks, Sorin. This is a really great one!" Seeing her mom standing next to Paige and calling her over. "I think that's it for me, I've gotta head home. We really appreciate you coming to the show! Thanks so much!" She smiled and waved as she backed up a few steps and then turned to job back over to her group. Her mom put an arm around both of the girls and they went off to make their round of "thank you again for the opportunity" and "goodbyes" to all the right people.Ilya Medvedev
Ilya didn't step away after the picture had been snapped. His hand rested lightly on her side, but ready to release her if she pulled away. Noticing the crowd thinning, he put his mouth close to her ear and whispered. "Sweet lady, are you fulfilled? Should Ilya take you back now? We can get quick bite if you are hungry. Whatever my sweet lady would like."Sofia Taylor
She knew he was asking her something, but that mouth-to-ear whisper basically short-circuited the woman’s brain and at first all she could do was nod dumbly in reply. What was she agreeing to? Committing arson at the orphanage? Giving up all material possessions and joining a cult--Oh, food. A few seconds late to the party, but her brain did eventually catch up to what was going on. “Food. Yes. That sounds... that sounds lovely, Ilya. I’m quite famished.”Storyteller
Naomi turned to face Sofia, an almost unreadable expression on the face of the 5'9" bassist. "Are you alright, dear? You seem a bit flushed," she said softly, her soothing London accent a stark contrast to Xander's poor kid Blackpool. She looked... almost unreal, her dark purple shoulder length hair seemed free of sweat, though wet from the bottles of water the band had dumped over themselves, her dark eyes shone with what seemed to be a hint of purple.Xander Knight
A light smile on his face, Xander gave a quick uptick of his head to Paige, releasing her from socialites while also saying his goodbyes from afar before turning back to the group. "Ilya mate, one of these days we'll have to talk about getting you on a track. D'you think you could scream like I do, in Russian?"Ilya Medvedev
He nodded to Sofia before answering his friend. "Ilya is man of many talents! We will blow it up, as they say, but another day! We must go, Ilya is very tired. Much to do tomorrow. Bushes to sculpt! Bears to visit! Good evening, punk rock man. Enjoy your success! Call soon." He finally withdrew from Sofia and offered his arm again. "Good evening new friends! Shall we, pretty lady?"Sorin Fionn
Sorin shrugged at Paige's response. Eh, that's fine. He followed along as Abbey worked the teenager magic, learning quickly as she showed him how to do this neat trick. "That. Is marvelous. An' a very neat trick ta add to my repertoire. An' what a wonderful song you sang, young lady!" He saw that they needed to go, and waved goodbye to the both of them, mirroring the sign Paige gave him just a moment ago. As Ilya had addressed him while saying goodbye to new friends, he heartily replied to him, "Farewell, my new bush n' bear friend! A treat ta see ya and miss Sofia tonight. Travel safe!" Turning to the members of Outcry, he continues giving a dazzling smile as he says, "Fantastic night, it was. I certainly hope ta see ye all around again soon. If'n ya ever want ta spend a night gamblin', come find me at Lucky Spades sometime and th' first round of drinks an' food'll be on me."Sofia Taylor
Oh. Hello there. The bassist’s voice had captivated Sofia’s attention for a moment and when she glanced over at the purple-haired woman, she had to do a double take. Why was everyone here so darn attractive? “I, uh… um, it is very warm, it being summer. Lots of ...pretty people.” She hadn’t meant to say that last part out loud and her eyes widened in surprise as she amended her words. “I mean people. Lots of normal-looking people, of course. All average. But yes, I’m okay. There’s nothing wrong with me in the slightest..” Cue a nervous chuckle and the waitress wanted to die on the spot. When Ilya offered his arm to her, Sofia jumped on the opportunity to exit the conversation. She linked her arm with his and nearly dragged him away.Xander Knight
Naomi smiled softly to the woman, fully understanding the bi panic she currently faced, nodding as Sofia and Ilya left for the night, turning back to Xander. "Never been one for gambling, but food and drink sound like a deal," he said with a chuckle. "Tonight went well. Sold out seats, great crowd, good reception on the new song... and that Lotus, eh? Never met him before this week, but he's got talent." Glancing to the clock of the VIP lounge, Xander noticed the time, looking out over the seats of the venue and noticing the last few concert goers trickling out. "Well, I suppose we'd all best be going. It was good to meet you Sorin, Layla."Sorin Fionn
"Aye, got a bit o' talent, he does." Stretching a little, his smile never ceased to be so warm. Taking a small bow, taking his old grey fedora in hand as he does, he adds "A good rest of yer evenin'.." He nods to Xander, "Xander, the man of pipes an' strings.." He turned toward the bassist, nodding to her "Naomi, queen of th' bass.." He turned to the last member of Outcry left, "And finally, th' beast with th' beats, Keenan. A pleasure, all!"Layla

Some were leaving to continue the party elsewhere, some were going home (or to someone's home), but at least they were all leaving with their ears ringing and their hearts full. The concert was a huge success, as would be told all over the airwaves and social media the next day. Everyone was hoping for a repeat show in the not-too-distant future. Only time will tell!
