Structure
Sundair is a full democracy. There are no rulers nor councils, everything considering the city-state is voted for. Everyone over fifteen years is allowed to participate, even just visitors to the town. There are officials who's duty it is to organize the votes and to ensure that decissions are made into reality. These officials are chosen randomly among the citizen for one year periods at the time.
Public Agenda
Sundair aims to perfect equality and harmony with the whole world. They are not very active in foreign affairs because for one to teach these aspects, they must first attain them, which, according to philosophers of Sundair, is a impossible concept in its entirety.
History
Sundair was formed by small band of githzerai monks who escaped from Limbo to the material plane after the devastating gith raid in their former home. The githzerai monks arrived at shores of Sea of Shadows at Beacon of 574 of 12th Millenia. They started to build a monastery for themselves and named it Sundair. After some years their new home was discovered by weary travelers who sought sanctuary from the monastery. They were accepted in. The ways of the monks impressed the adventurers, and once they returned home they told everyone they could about the magnificent place in the north. Little by little people begun to arrive to Sundair, and everyone was accepted in to the area by the githzerai. The city grew and grew as teachings of the monks spread, and in the year 709 of 12th Millenia Sundair was officially the largest of city-states of Marghuin.
Demography and Population
Most of the citizens of the Sundair live in the close vicinity of the original githzerai monastery, although the city has spread greatly. Members of all races can be found from Sundair, even members of so called monstorous races, although they are often scorned upon.
Territories
Sundair claims ownership over large areas surrounding the city-state. The city's influence is especially spread to the north and west of the city and their assets can be found from as far as on the shores of Starfall Bay.
Military
Sundair has a small army of in case of emergancy. The city guard is comprised from members of numerous monk orders of the city.
Religion
There is no official god in Sundair, but many citizens worship Sashana the Wise, Zoun the Beautifull and Ysolas the Kind.
Foreign Relations
Sundair is quite unactive in its foreign policy. Nevertheless their trade is big part of the Marghuin's economy, so their place as a influental figure in politics is undeniable.
Agriculture & Industry
There is only little agriculture and industry in Sundair. The city-state lives mostly by trade goods passing by and from salt mines located nearby.
Trade & Transport
Sundair is the one of the hearts of the Marghuins trade. Almost all the goods traveling via ship in Sea of Shadows travel trough Sundair. This marinal trade route is also rising all the time as taxes collected in the Calacan range keep rising all the time.
Education
Sundair is highly educated. The main principle of the city-state is to find perfection in everything, and one can't be perfect if they can't read and write.
