Lagoon of Doom
"Few dare to break the everstill waters of the Lagoon. Its water is crystal clear, but still no one has seen what lies in itsbottom, for the Lagoon is deep as the foundations of the world, or so it is said. Those fools who live on its shores and have the resolve to sail its waters claim that during the Beacon a great monstorous form can be seen in the depths. They also speak of the low grumbling like the roar of a slumbering beast and the shaking of the earth time to time. Pray, that whatever lives there stays in its slumber for long years to come. For I fear what might hapen when it awakens."

Geography
The Lagoon of Doom is an enormous lagoon in the very middle of the Isles of Dawn. Some claim that it is in fact the very centerpiece of Evernight as a whole. The shores of the lagoon have surpisingly high hills that keep the wind and the rain out of the lagoon proper so its waters stay ever still. There is only one water passage from the sea to the Lagoon. The water of the lagoon is deep turqoise varying greatly from the water of surrounding sea. It is unknown how deep the lagoon proper is, but it is said it runs to the very core of the world itself and that the great beast slumbers in its bottom awaiting for the day of awakening.
Fauna & Flora
The hills surrounding the Lagoon are lush with nature as are most of the places in the Isles of Dawn. Some fishes and other sea creatures also live in the upper parts of the lagoon itself.
Natural Resources
The hills and waters surrounding the Lagoon are vibrant with lightstones that shine brightly, but no one has yet been brave enough to gather these, for all fear the stories of the Beast of the Lagoon.
