Road Galleon

Road Galleons are large landships used almost exclusively to transport trade goods. Due to their relatively large size and wheels, they never travel off of main roads, which means towns along the large trade routes often make space available for Galleons. They have the strength of ten horses. A Galleon is usually recognized by the tell-tale mast and sail, modeled much after a sailing ship's.

Propulsion

Road Galleons are equipped with massive sails designed to catch wind easily as a sailing ship. The sails can be retracted and the masts folded down for passage through thick woods and other obstacles. In such cases, either a mana battery or a crank powered by Drivers propels the ship.

Weapons & Armament

Heavy on-board weaponry is considered a waste of time for most captains, as the Imperial roads are generally safe. That being said, most Galleons contain an armory closet that is stocked with crossbows and bolts. Most Drivers are required by their captains to be a fair shot.

Armor and defense

Since they are used primarily for the transport of materials, Road Galleons are rarely armored heavily so as to allow more cargo.
