Taana, Goddes of Waters (taa-na)

Solioran's sister and Goren's wife, Goddess of all the waters and winds of Evera. Taana populated the Elemental plane of Water, then the Blackwater ocean, the seas, and the waters of the lands with plants and animals. She created the Undines and the Glonoii.

Artifacts

The scepter of the Deep is a coral wand that can transmit the power of the goddess with surprising clarity. The scepter is currently stuck in the Elemental plane of Water, but Taana is eager for a mortal to take it with him and influence the Core  through it. The scepter also affects its user: it is enough to raise it once with the intention of creating magic with it, the scepter takes over the body and mind of its bearer, giving free space to the will of the goddess.

Szent Könyvek & Szabályok

One of Taana's most important teachings is to respect all creatures living in the depths of the water and maintain the fragile balance. The goddess often sees sailors as intruders, and outright hates battles at sea. Rejects fishing - but not the underwater hunting. If she can, she avenges the pollution of the seas, even by ordering the Glonoii to attack.

Her sacred animal is the white shark.

Ünnepnapok

Her biggest festival is held at the beginning of the rainy season, but at the high tide of the red moon (every second month) her shamans perform sacrifices in her honor.

Isteni Célok & Törekvések

Taana is apparently a deity seeking balance and peace, but it is easy to incur her wrath when someone threatens her creations, the Glonoii or the Undines. She let her people from the Elemental plane of Water pass to the Core in the belief that they would conquer the waters of Evera for her. Unfortunately, even from Ilia Bay, only a few of them made it out with their skins intact. The goddess' goal was to have sole rule over the seas, but she was faced with the fact that other races follow other deities. Since her own people are only present in small numbers, and she is on a foreign plane, can only provide a faint part of her power to her followers. Over the centuries, watching from afar, she slowly gauged the web of relationships between the deities and came to the conclusion that she must partner with someone. She eventually chose Goren as her mate, with the stipulation that she would not have to leave the elemental plane, where she could exist as his mistress with infinite power. Since Goren was warlike and debaucherous, this was no obstacle to their relationship.
