Damus' Doom

In the Second Era of Damus , when the Segai began to conquer more of the continent, Jomril tried to stop their expansion in his own way. The Father of Stone used his domain, the power of Fire and Earth, to contain the danger. Three huge volcanoes rose from the Blackwater around the continent.

Damus before the disaster

Pyrsoir, the Red:

In the northwest, the eternally crimson-glowing crater billows black smoke over the continent, which obscures the sun and paints the rainwater gray with ash. The island of Pyrsoir is not a random piece of ocean floor, but a detached part from the coast of Damus. The ruins of the former Dwarven city of Budkin are hidden in the vicinity of the volcano.

Nayrlo, the Dark:

In the south-eastern part of the continent there is a huge volcano that is forever shrouded in a cloud of black ash. Nayrlo blows hot winds and drought towards Damus, so forest fires were frequent on the southern coast of the land, until the area was completely deserted. The Fire Wasteland was one of the most common battlefields for Greendragons and Firedragons, and their fighting did not help the environment either. The Segaii still belive that the Dragons created the desert.

Brelrys, bringer of Death:

In the northeastern part of the continent rises an enormous volcano, which is the most dangerous of all. When Brelrys erupted, it hurled huge rocks at the Sadara Kingdom, and even today emits toxic gases that paralyze the wildlife of the coast of Damus for days. The Brelrys is still the greatest enemy of the Bena elves, the earthquakes coming from the volcano make the daily lives of the deep dwellers miserable.

Together, the tree volcanoes caused great changes on the surface of Damus. The eastern part of the Hart Lake fell into a crevasse, and the surrounding area has became a dangerous quagmire. The jungle around the continent was burned, the southern areas became desertified. Rivers disappeared, the coastline became fragmented. The environment was pleasant to the Firedragons, who migrated from the Elemental plane of Fire, increasing the destruction. Jomril recklessly sentenced Damus to death, which Narmiraen cannot forgive him for.
