The Conflict

Prelude

when the the kaff hallberg war started prince hugo Emperor Charles 5th requested that the frankish army join his cause. the frankish army leaving very little in the nation to garrison it. in the capital only the feared frankish desert horsemen were garrisoning the city and skelition formations were left in the other citys   political discontnet in frank the political class were the nobles and and army. the anti establishment and anti verainberg classes were the educated middle cases who wished for more rights and the removal of verianberg influence from there country.it was these people who formed the democratic party. the poor were also hit hard by the alliance with verianberg. very little money went to helping them and large amounts of taxes were placed upon them. the middle classes sympathized with them that way the first members of the democratic party went to the king in the year 15YBCW and asked for refmor. the king laughed and had the delegation executed by his guards.   this outraged the remamats of the party. some wanted to gather arms and march on the capital but they couldn't not know.   gathering strength when frank joined the kaff hallberg war there armys marched to help prince hugo leaving frank almost completely undefended. but to keep the people in check the white guards the frankish secret police used terror tactics to keep the population in line. but this bread more anger against the king. soon a group of 9 democratic party members went to the coastal town of le mal and started plotting against the crown.   the party started gathering support. what members of the armed forces that could be gathered to the revolution were grouped into a unit which would become the consular guard. they also saw the support of the long neglected navy. they had wanted reform which the government had refused them. this added around 30000 navy personal to the revoltionary forces. know the revoltion had an army of around 30000 naval soliders and 1000 eilte soilders.   and when the frankish army was deafted at the battle of richendorf the 9 member proclaimed the first consular republic of frank.

The Engagement

it took some time for word of this to reach the crown. and when it did the king fell into a rage and in retaliation order the white guard to hang an 10000 people to try and stop the revolution. what is did was turn the population of the capital on him and his loyalist. as the revolutionary army advanced on the capital the population of the capital erected barracked.

the king ordered his Deseret horse cavalry to attack the barracked and soon the city was in flames.   the revolutionary army arrives after 4 weeks of marching the revoltionary army had arrived in the out skirts of the city. out posts waving black banners stopped the lead units lead by the party lead general paul harmond asking who they were. the general retorted the starters of the revolutions the men of the consular republic. the man allowed them to pass and soon the revolutionary army lay siege to the capital. the men who had allowed them in were a different faction the blacks an insergancey army who controlled half the citys. the two factions formed a shaky alliance.   battle for the capital paul harmond ordered his men to start making probing attacks into the city. the commander of the city garrison the commander of the Deseret horse men proposed trying to break through the week siege lines.

and make there way north where there was still support for the royals. the king was indicisive he beilved that if he waited the the frankish army would come to his aid and even better bring the The verianberg imperial army to help his cause. main while the revolutionary army was fighting running battles in the streets with the frankish desert horsemen and the white guards the soldiers and consular guard fought hard along side the black's armed bands. single streets changed hands over night as the garrison and the revolutionary fought fortuitously. meany while the king ordered his wife to take there daughter princess anna and go north where they still had support.   victory even know they were fighting hard the loyalist were beaten. what was left of the garrison went to the inner city were the palace and other defend able building were. the revolutionary army found it easy to occupy the out ling building but found the royal place which was garrisoned by hard core white guards and the cream of the desert horsemen was harder to crack. when it did eventual fall they found the king had killed himself and with his death the city surrendered and the revoltion rose the the red and blue flag of the consular republic.   war in the north and the invasion of the new republic   in the north an army of 30000 men with help from the dukes counter espionage service from slzski guarded the gate way to the north at the fortress of les black rock. the new revolutionary army sent 40000 men north this resulted in a bloody defeat for the revolution the first of the war. word had also reach the general fighting the kaff hallberg war they turned there guns towards the new republic. there army was experienced and massively out numbered the revolutionary one but what they lacked in numbers the revolutionary made up in will. the main army which had just won the siege of the capital had around 45000 men including sailors and the concular guard. they made the first move launching a preemptive attack against general matrese's 1st army routing it and capturing weapons and horses. the next army to cross the boarder was the much larger 4th army. these men were some of the hardest in the frankish millatry. there officors were from verainberg and knew how to win a war. the revolutionary made the first move again forcing the 4th army into a thin area of ground. this gave them an advantage due to the fact the Frankish loyalist couldn't draw there guns up in large numbers. this battle however was another victory but at larger cost to the revolution. 10000 men were dead wounder captured
