battle of Koch
the bloodiest battle of the great crisis. the town of koch saw the castilan army and the vearinberg army clash.
The Conflict
Prelude
as the verainberg army streamed across the castilan border they made there way to the to koch the main road link to the capital becelo. the imperial generals believed that they could be halted hear and then thrown back across the broader. the army under Francisco pasha dug in north of the town. the verianberg army had made stunning success smashing through the weak defenses and had taken thousands of prisoners. lead by a legendary commander general scartofski of duchy of Szlski . soon he had reach his enemys defences.
The Engagement
Day One-in the late morning verainberg artillery opened fire on the Castilian defenses. they bombarded the positions for 4 hours and then in waves of 1000 infantry attacked the left wing of the defenses. this forced Francisco pasha to commit his reserve.these reserves however were much stronger than scartofski had thought. this forced him to change his axis of attack. he assaulted along the road. 40000 men were committed lead by a vanguard of Szlski cavalry. the center soon cracked under the weight of the attack. but they were to badly damaged to continue the attack along the road. the Castilian attempted a counter attack. committing 30000 men along with elven mercenary
