Glistering Pathogens
The Glistering Pathogens (named for the titular Glistering Pathogen of 1XX0) are Pathogens which were thought to have sprang forth from the Wells of Glisterwax. They are metaforms which adapted from Selschaeus into a metaviral form.
Infamous Pathogen Outbreaks
While there were once almost yearly outbreaks, most Glistering Metaviruses didn't make it far beyond their point of origin. Whenever they broke beyond the borders of the territories they often made history, spreading death, disease, and disorder worldwide, and threatening to plummet the world into a dark age... or making good on that threat.
Glistering Pathogen of 1XX0
The pathogen which cemented the rise of Valuser'rh as a central power of the Amujnalden Region. It spread over the entire world, killing over 40% of the global population and plummeting Jhoutai into a dark age.Glistering Pathogen of 4220
At the fall of the Valuser'ran empire, and part of the cause of it. Aempis used this opportunity to curry favor by way of better health systems and standards as they rose into power and worked with the other sazashi nations to topple the Valuser'rans.
