Dragonknight

Dragonknights are a formation of bodyguards trained in various melee as well as special energetic techniques that allow them to guard a person alone or a whole city in a group. If they are recruited to protect someone during travel in a dangerous area, they often work with the help of a fennek as a safety net.

Composition

Weaponry

The weapons vary from dragonknight to dragonknight, depending on their skills and preferences. Weapons that are commonly used are:

• Dagger
• Shortswords
• Staffs, often with special traits through embedded runes
• Hardened wood sticks

In rare cases, they also use whips, throwing knives, and bows as ranged weapons.

Training

Dragonknights are trained until their graduation at the Flamnonia Academy. They are apprentices for at least five years sometimes longer depending on the learning speed. Within their time at the academy, they have the possibility to collect some practical knowledge through small recruitments. Depending on the knowledge of the apprentice those recruitments are attended to with help of a mentor.
After graduation, there will be an additional test in regular timeframes to reduce the risk of elemental burn. If one fails that test they can either retire or have the possibility to absolve additional training at the Flamnonia Academy as a refresher.

Recruitment

Anyone who wants to become a dragonknight can begin the training at Flamnonia Academy. The education will end without graduation if there isn't any visible progress after a year or if it reveals that the applicant cannot perform the special energetic techniques due to the lack of access to soul energy.
