Wolfden
[History]
The howls echo in the wilderness surrounding Wolfden, making it no wonder how the small hunting village gained its name. Timberwolves, Coyotes, Black Foxes, and Briar Wolves are all native to the area making the travel to and from this small town somewhat hazardous for those traveling alone. Wolf attacks still occur though with decreasing regularity as the thick overgrowth and trees around Wolfden have been cleared for 300 feet in all directions. The town's safety is also augmented with guard towers and archers stationed at every gate to repel any wolves that may be daring enough to attack in the open clearings. While the wolf attacks within the city and around its immediate area have been tempered, visitors should be on watch once they return to the forested areas around Wolfden. Though many would suspect that the increased presence of predators in the area would lead to lower numbers of prey, but that would be a dangerous mistake. As the aggressive predators have simply forced equally aggressive evolutionary changes in the prey, making nearly any animal encountered in the area worthy of consideration and caution.[Locations]
