Rock Bottom Ale Hall

For all of the glitz and glamor that Sanctuary purports to have, on the lowest level of the deeps the Rock Bottom Ale Hall makes no such claims to fame. Their dirt floor gives some indication of the expectations one should have when entering. A regular hangout for low-lifes and scoundrels, Rock Bottom breeds a tougher kind of criminal and is a good place to go if one was so inclined to rub elbows with various elements of the underworld.
The Ale Hall itself is carved from one solid piece of granite, as are all of the furniture, tables, and even the bar itself. This was not only done to compliment the overall motif but to also prevent the chairs or tables from being used as weaponry in any potential intergang skirmish. One of the tangential benefits of this ale hall holding the distinction of being the lowest bar is that the cellar of the ale hall keeps the ale perfectly chilled.

Ownership

Izex Quartermane, a former stonemason whose failed business in construction led him to reinvent himself as barkeep and broker of information for the criminal underworld. Offered protection by his older siblings Langstone and Yiddis, Izex operates his bar with near impunity as those who have ill intent wouldn't come within 100 yards of the establishment (and in many cases most wouldn't even risk traveling into the deeps) This has given Izex a sense of immunity to broker and trade on information that others wouldn't touch. However, this has also led to an increased bout of paranoia and caused him to become increasingly reclusive. Izex depends mostly on his older brother Fiel Quartermanes to handle dead drops, running information, and other “deliveries.” As the largest of the Quartermanes, Fiel towers nearly head and shoulders over most goblins, giving him nearly free reign to come and go with little fear for his safety.
