The Genasi Skirmish

Skirmish = an episode of irregular or unpremeditated fighting, especially between small or outlying parts of armies or fleets.

phalanx = a : a massed arrangement of persons, animals, or things. b : an organized body of persons

The Genasi are each of the six elements from the six Elemental Planes - The Plane of Fire, The Plane of Wood, The Plane of Water, The Plane of Void, and The Plane of Air.

Within the Human race were the Vikings, who the first to realise how easy it was to turn the different Genasi against each other. The Vikings had been, along with other Human, Elves and Dragonborn, the first to take the Genasi people as slaves.

When wars broke out, as they tend to over land, religion and resources, they expected their Genasi slaves to fight along side them or more often, in the frontlines ahead of them.


The first of these were seen during The War of Wings.

Historical Significance

In Literature

Little is written on the Genasi Skirmish, only small pieces and art by Cordites Tun.

+ A firey voice roars out in anger and swings his blade against a shield.
+ The wood Genasi lies in a heap, shoulders hunched under their bark shawl, a fine length of the barkskin remains undamaged.
+ Genasi figures orbit around each other in a standoff, fingers smoldering with elemental magic.
+ A towering bulwark of stone, wood, water, flesh and plate metal, the enlarged void Genasi stands with the upright bearing of a face of a victor.
