Vhondren Malkrond

(a.k.a. "Hapax")

Charming, but relatively anti-social, Vhondren Malkrond is a man with limited information on his upbringing, and is one of very few individuals who has managed to stay off of R.I.S.E.'s radar after acquisition of his powers, from two different Ley Fonts. This has been something he has striven to maintain since, due to the nature of his abilities and his eventual affiliation with The Veiled Coalition. He now serves as a form of information broker for those who wish to seek knowledge of any kind, while trying to assist the Coalition in their goal of uncovering the secrets R.I.S.E. intends to keep hidden. Vhondren was motivated to join the Coalition after having met the current leader of R.I.S.E., Leranas Nypakomo, who despite being an unpowered person, was immune to Vhondren's powers and raised some serious red flags.

Powers

Vhondren technically has two separate powers, as he is one of few in Erlyse who has encountered multiple separate Ley Fonts, although the second one he encountered had only been forming for a few years and thus did not have an extreme ability to grant.
His first, and most prominent power involves a method of memory and mental abilities. He theoretically works like a memory sponge for those in his vicinity. The radius of this part of his abilities is something he has not effectively determined yet, but his working concept is he picks up new memories somewhere within fifteen meters of another person whose memories he hasn't already absorbed. Once within this proximity, Vhondren acquires practically the entire lifetime worth of memory from other individuals which are placed in what the man calls a 'compartments' in his mind. This was a skill he had to learn early in his life as an empowered person, as the flood of new information could be excruciatingly disorienting due to having so much amassed in his mind where it was hard to separate from his own; an issue he still concerns himself with even now as he is not entirely sure the memories he separated were entirely the right ones and fears he may not be himself anymore.
This ability of his is exceptionally versatile and useful for him, as he benefits from all the collected knowledge from those around him. Should an individual be a master martial artist, then Vhondren becomes one as well. Should they know another language, Vhondren learns it as well. It is also safe to say that no one's secrets are safe around him, as while he cannot read thoughts or predict someone's actions directly, he will know their history and the things they wish to keep hidden, as well as plenty of things Vhondren himself wishes they could have kept hidden. He has thus taught himself how to purge knowledge he considers 'unusable' or 'unsettling', the memories of others who have little impact in what they offer him or disgust him, which allows him to declutter his mind. Furthermore, in recent years, he has evolved this ability of memory purging to be functionally used on other people, allowing him to dissect their own memories for his, or others, benefit. This ability requires him to be in physical contact with the individual, however, and must be used with great care as the person he affects this way is consciously aware that their memories have been tampered with, even if they don't remember what was missing in the first place.
The second ability of his, seems to be the capacity for near instantaneous transmission from one location to another, regardless of distance, as long as he has experienced the location himself. Combined with his memory absorption ability, this has expanded his travel possibilities to near unlimited potential upon Erlyse, especially when taking into consideration that one of his allies, Gable Harande, is a professional explorer. However, Vhondren's ability to teleport in this fashion is moderately flashy and would bring attention to him when using it, thus he prefers ensuring he is away from any prying eyes before its use. He is also limited in how often he can utilize it since it takes around half an hour or more to 'recharge', and relies on variables he has not yet been able to discern.
