Gable Harande
(a.k.a. "Lodestar")
Gable is quite possibly the most publicly famous empowered individual on Erlyse that is not affiliated with the guild of R.I.S.E.. He is best known for his contributions to the world in the realm of exploration, and is currently the only person who has accurately mapped the coastline of the frozen north of the "frontier" continent, @Kivorem. He is the co-founder and leader of the organization known as The Veiled Coalition, alongside the black market mob boss, Nerexis Troncoso, which he formed because Gable believes without a doubt that R.I.S.E. knows many secrets about the world and elsewhere that they refuse to allow others to know about. He keeps his desires to expose the guild well masked by the fact he is nearly constantly traveling and ever expanding the colonized, civilized world. Erlyse's tallest mountain, once known as Primordia Peak, has recently been renamed Mount Harande after him after he became the first person to reach its summit.
Powers
A desire to investigate the unknown was turned into a compulsion by Gable's acquisition of his powers. The Ley had empowered him with a form of subconscious foresight, which instinctively guides him into the most fortuitous path ahead of him. Whether this is some type of effect that actually influences and manipulates luck in his favor, or if it is some kind of future sight, no one has really tried to put it to the test to find out, even Gable himself. This ability manifests mostly as a permanent, and powerful absolute direction, as the man, no matter how far he goes into the wilderness or regions he's never been, is completely incapable of becoming lost or suffering any form of setback in his goals. This ability has been the perfect companion for his treks into the unknown, as he makes the incredibly difficult task of exploration seem effortless, which has actually resulted in some criticism from the civilized communities due to his inspiring discoveries managing to coerce more naive and gullible folk into trying their own hands at the profession... with far more devastating results. This ability also extends to other things, such as combat, where Gable just seems to be in the right place at the right time, every time, to avoid an attack or deliver the most effective one of his own.
However, Gable's ability does have a small handicap, as he loses his connection to this instinctive guidance during full eclipses of the moon of Norveiss, made visibly noticeable as the glow of his eyes will wink out, turning his eyes entirely black, and making him as susceptible as any normal person without powers on Erlyse.
