Wylde Trybe

The Wylde Trybe consists of an offshoot race of Humans who have been infused with the chaotic, cosmic energies of The Ley that resides in their very blood, due to being descendants of empowered individuals. The energies manifest at an early age, creating mild to moderate mutations in their bodies which continue to evolve as they grow older. The race has developed a type of Ley energy siphoning ink which they use in the form of tattoos that draws the excess energies from their blood to place their evolving mutations in a type of stasis and allow them to live normal, productive lives among others of their kind. Many are shunned by the majority of Erlyse society and thus form communities of their own hidden away to keep from being hunted down as monsters, but those with mild mutations are able to live among human society normally. Those with heavy mutations are seen as threats not just due to their mutations, but because of the mental instabilities that are frequent in their race caused by the arcane energies which course through their veins, as these make them be seen as untrustworthy or volatile, which is in part true.

Anatomy

Mutations present in the individuals of the Wylde Trybe are extremely diverse and hard to predict once they first manifest. Many are physical appearance altering changes while others are internal. A member of the race might have bone like growths that protrude from their joints which they could use as weapons, while another might have grown a thick, scaly tail with a club at the end of it, and yet another may appear normal to the eye but actually have three hearts and a ribcage reinforced by extra bones to protect them.

The Wylde Trybe have formed numerous, well protected settlements across the world of Erlyse, but do not actually have a dedicated nation of their own. They do have a large, organized militant movement known as the Matar Kamal, which are seen as a form of cult by a variety of countries across the globe, as they are a paramilitary group that embrace the chaotic nature and mental instabilities caused by their blood.
