Hellcat Fighter Squad
The well-known Martian Hellcat Fighter Squad members are the elite. They are the pinnacle of atmospheric and (deep) space combat fighters. They named themselves after the Hellcat fighter planes from WWII. Commander Rigel Natal read about their presence and named the squadron in their honor for nostalgia.
Their training is intensive and brutal, and only 12 percent of the trainees can finish the seven months of physical exercise. It has not been without result, as the Hellcats haven't lost a single pilot during their 18 years of extensive combat missions, and that's not just luck. The dedication pays off, training every day for several hours, and they are competent. Sometimes, the public asks why they are flying their planes in reality and not remotely or with an A.I. Their answer is simple: The A.I. is still incapable of making the decisions humans do. And they point out that a "gut feeling" is natural, something an A.I. can never have.
The A.I. would have shot the United Empire of Earth King III out of the sky, killing the refugees and defectors on board, because analysis determined it a threat. Avon Hythar decided otherwise and declared later that he "felt" it was wrong and had a "gut feeling." The hellcat fighters have a special forces unit that protects the Mars Directorate . Masta Enterprise and Solam work together to prevent any abuse or misuse, this is only known to the leader of the Mars Directorate and the two corporations. it is not known to the Hellcat Squad members

they are just 12 pilots and 4 A.I. support ships. (one for every three pilots - one captain and two wingmen)
Equipment
Their outfit is made of high resilient plastomer, stronger then steel, instant hardening on impact, (extreme heat/cold resistant for several minutes. and as long as there is power (standard suit - up to 2 days without recharge) the suit is capable of cooling or heating between -40 celcius to +60 celcius. The polymer can change color. (a writst attached QC is there to assist the wearer with a personal style. The vizor is made from fast forming nanobotic see-through with integrated heads up display.
Weaponry
two long range railguns, 4 short range hipo's (high powered blasters), 7 missilies 2x3 fast guided missiles and 1 larger cannister.

Vehicles
They fly the extremely fast and maneuverable Cinder Class "Hellcats" . There are plans to incorporate nanobot technolgy to help the piot in more extreme situations.
Structure
there are 4 units of each 3 pilots. each formation of three is self operational. they are all linked together at all times.
Tactics
there are many tactical maneuvres and they are very well trained to think in 3 dimensions.
Training
they are already very well trained before they get selected into this unit. There are more pilots training then there are in the hellcat fighter squad. but only a few make it into their ranks.
