The Country of Terisirae

Terisirae, the northern shelf, is one of three remaining countries in the world of Eniea. After the chaotic magical energies of The Impetus, Terisirae became the largest and most diverse location for the world's displaced.   Terisirae was spared the worst of The Impetus' wrath, the single orb that grew in the country sprouted near its southeastern border to the sea, and the moutnain range growing known as The Green Line provided a natural barrier to its west, effectively funneling all potential problems into two choke points that could be easily managed while minimzing damage. Relative to size, especially compared to its neighbors, Terisirae was modestly impacted by the magical fallout that shook the world and was able to recover quickly, becoming the strongest, largest, and wealthiest of Eniea's remaining civilianships.   In the modern era, as the world has mostly gotten the hang of putting itself back together, Terisirae has become the dominant power politically and financially. It holds over 60% of the world's wealth in its vast, resource-rich lands, more than two-thirds of the total number of Adventurer's Guilds incorporate within Terisian borders, and the most influential kingdom with the largest nobility, the Colum Kingdom, resides in the center of the country.

Structure

Terisirae is a vast continent with many powerful figures, organizations, and coalitions. Each of its three regions, The Western Settlements, The Eastern Settlements, and Colum, has its own political system and leaders. Despite this, the general often looks to the seat of the Colum Kingdom in times of catastrophe or uncertainty.   After the throne of Colum, much power has been consolidated by the many Adventurer's Guilds that dot the land. The largest three of these companies being The Red Sons, 7 Staves, and The Rune Runners.

Public Agenda

The seat of the Colum Kingdom aims to further unite what remains of Terisirae's neighbors--those that were more directly heavily affected by The Impetus. They fund many efforts to brave the harrowing unknown and traverse the calamitous seas to assist the many still affected by monster attacks and environmental disasters.   Adventurer's Guilds in the region are primarily oriented towards battling back monsters that wander too close to the borders of civilization. Some of these guilds break the mold and assist in other ways, 7 Staves in particular is well known for using its most powerful magic users to prevent or otherwise reverse imminent disasters.

Assets

Terisirae is split into 5 primary regions, The Western Settlements, Spirix, The Eastern Settlements, Colum, and Ob-2   The Western Settlements, formerly known as The Commonwealth of Anbhor, include everything west of the Spirixian desert. Locations of great importance in the area include Des'dorakha, Huvora, Vincys, The Democratic People's Republic of Kelemvor, and Silk Mist Glade. The lands of this region are made of coastal municipalities, swathes of fertile agricultural grounds, an enormous freshwater reservoir the size of several small villages, and large swamplands.   Spirix is included in geographical descriptions of Terisirae, but the desert and its native people are incredible and unique. Their culture is far different from other settlements in the region and has a much bigger emphasis on the land and its history, vaster and older than the rest of the country. It has also recently seen the embrace of religious fundamentalism that is not found anywhere outside of the Kelic region. Spirix includes every settlement between the Western Settlements and the Green line, from Aldrané to Karusha.   Colum is the most populace of Terisirae, its main kingdom home to more than 14 million people of all races, the large forest expanse known as Vastwood, and The Green Line, a mountain range that runs the width of the country, burgeoning with wildlife and mineral deposits. Colum also borders the area of Ob-2, the area of the country that was engulfed in the destruction of The Impetus, dispatching military forces to control and route infestations of monstrous populations around the country. Colum once also had a political presence in Spirix before the turn of the century, but since its people returned to the traditional teachings of the goddess of the oasis, Solanil, they have pushed all outside political influences from the sands to claim full autonomy over the region. The crown of Colum met these demands amicably in Y.E. 1099.   The Eastern Settlements include everything east of Colum's Vastwood, including cities like Waleah, Harthwater, and Kingcardine. This area of Terisirae is also notable for its mineral deposits and agricultural heritage, but it is much more acquainted with the creatures of Ob-2 than the rest of the country. More militarized than its neighbors, the region is always ready to rout incursion.   Total estimations of existing wealth plus the value of assets is 7,410,525,000 gp
