House Brandt
House Brandt are the hereditary Viscounts of Moerasuitzicht, the north eastern province of Dern. In service to House van Tollenaar , they are the highest-ranking vassal, tasked with guarding the profitable roads and pass into Dern from the wildlands to the east.
In the past 200 years, their lands and power have grown significantly, with the influx of wealth, and while they are not sprawling metropolises, the Brandt family has enjoyed a comfortable level of affluence with the trade through their county.
Public Agenda
House Brandt is tasked with holding the northeasternmost section of the Province of dern. Sitting atop a hill overlooking a great bog, they guard and toll the road leading out of the empire, and serve as the first line of defense against invaders and brigands from the wildlands.
Assets
House Brandt Controls the city and keep of Moerasuitzicht, along with the surrounding environment, villages, and hamlets. Moerasuitzicht has a standing force of some 200 guards and soldier, with around 20 knights or mounted men at arms within that number. If pressed, Moerasuitzichts can muster about 600 men, though how well they will be furnished and equipped may leave something to be desired.
