Rylmar

(a.k.a. Hope)


Rylmar is an aspect of Lithmor and one of the mental aspects. Rylmar consists of the emotions of aspiration and hope, but also of dreams themselves. In general, Rylmar deals with positive imagination as opposed to Felryth, aspect of Zalikar, which deals with negative imagination (fear, anxiety, nightmare). Rylmar has a consciousness within their plane which is a splinter of the whole of Lithmor's mind. It possesses the mind and tendencies of this part of Lithmor.

Rylmar's Plane contains all hopes, aspirations, imaginings and dreams of every living lifeform and can be beautiful and wonderous to navigate. It lets these dreams interact with each other in unexpected ways, partially affecting dreamers. As Rylmar's Plane exists within her mind, Lithmor is aware of everyone's greatest aspiration, hopes, imagination and dreams. Despite being sealed away, she is still able to influence the world from this plane by affecting the dreams occurring in people's minds.

Rylmar's manifestations are fairly common throughout Accia, but are particularly common in the valley. Those who utilize Rylmar's magic by Racial Magic or otherwise tend to possess one or more quirks or tendencies of Rylmar.

Racial Manifestations



When Lithmor gifted all lifeforms with her magic, each life form was capable of receiving two gifts. Each of these blessings would grant the lifeform a connection to a specific aspect and this connection could be utilized in a given way. These gifts were passed down to their descendants as well and eventually beings came to call these gifts Racial Magic. These are named by the aspect a caster is connected to and by how they can use it, how they manifest their connection.

Manifestations

Manipulation
Can manipulate emotions or states related to Rylmar of those around them, if they are occurring.

Aura
Can generate temporary emotions or states related to Rylmar in those around them.

Shadow
Can generate illusions or hallucinations fueled by the part of a target's mind space which is connected to Rylmar.

Eye
Can see emotions, thoughts and states related to Rylmar as an aura around targets and learn details about these thoughts and emotions of targets by staring into their eyes.

Sense
Can sense emotions, thoughts and states related to Rylmar of those around them and learn details about these emotions and thoughts by touching a target.

Binding
Able to bind specific emotions, thoughts or memories related to Rylmar and restrict a target's access to them.

Mind
Able to enter a meditative state, mentally entering the target's mind space connected to Rylmar. They can experience thoughts, emotions and even memories stored here but cannot access the rest of the target's mind space.

Vision
Able to enter a meditative state in which the caster can explore and peek through portals or windows within Rylmar's Plane. This plane is can be terrifying to navigate.

Apathy
Able to block a target's access to emotions, states or memories related to Rylmar.

Empathy
Can enable target's to experience or share each other's emotions, thoughts and memories related to Rylmar and can project their own Rylmar emotions.

Shield
These casters are immune to all Rylmar magic and can turn off their own ability to experience these emotions and memories.

Touch
Able to inflict a state of delusion or increased imagination via touch. Can grant vivid, lucid dreams to sleeping targets.

Step
Allows the caster to physically enter Rylmar's Plane, using themselves as a portal, and explore the Plane. They can enter mental spaces connected to the plane, but this can be extremely dangerous.
